I came to Dr. Bloem from another holistic health care practice to continue getting my prescriptions of Bioidentical Hormones to stop hot flashes and Armour Thyroid medication for my underperforming thyroid.
Blood tests indicated if I was taking the correct amount of each prescription, and there was little change as time went by. My health during this time was excellent.
Recently I took a dear friend to Assisted Living where he will be staying. The nurse there asked if I was his daughter? No, I am three years older than this gentleman!!! But apparently my advanced age doesn't show. I give credit to Dr. Bloem and the hormones which have an anti-aging effect. In fact, my hair dresser asked my how I kept myself looking younger than my age, as she wanted to do the same! She may be Dr. Bloem's next new patient!
Another doctor wanted to test me for cancer and a possible heart condition, based on minor symptoms.
After a couple of tests that were normal, that doctor suggested I do more tests. But I asked Dr. Bloem his opinion and he said they weren't necessary, saving me time and money.. Dr. Bloem was correct, as I have neither cancer or a heart condition! Don't you love a doctor who tells you good news and he is correct?!

The $400 initial fee 1 hour consultation paid in advance was not helpful. He sent us 5 emails, we never heard back from him, he answer calls during the appointment. Afterwards wanted another $100 for additional 15 minutes this was a waste of time. Don't waste your money.

I have been under Dr Bloem’s care for 8 years. He addressed my knee pain by 75% with prolozone therapy. His knowledge of the Wiley protocol for hormone replacement is extensive He is very knowledgeable and helpful I like that his office is in his home. It is always clean comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking. Highly recommend Dr Bloem

About 8 years ago I was told by 2 different surgeons that I needed a full knee replacement. I had scheduled surgery and called Dr. Bloem on another matter. I mentioned to him that I would be getting a knee replacement and he said I should cancel it and try Prolozone injections before going through such a serious surgery. I was so frightened of the surgery having known people who had knee replacements who still had pain and lots of problems afterwards for years. I saw Dr. Bloem a few weeks later and after just ONE Prolozone injection my knee was so much better, no more cane, back on my horse, back to scuba and snorkeling! I continued to receive more injections as suggested and I still go yearly for 1 or 2 shots to keep my knees healthy. It is really horrible that our medical care does not suggest trying Prolozone before going through major surgery. My husband had surgery for a torn meniscus and his knee was so swollen up that when he went to his surgeon's office they ordered a special xray immediately, fearing a blood clot. It turned out his horrible swelling and pain was just because of his reaction to the surgery and not taking it as easy as he should have. The pain was agonizing even with the prescribed pain pills. Dr. Bloem gave him ONE shot in his knee and that same day, almost immediately, he had a 75% reduction in pain. Again, horrible that doctors/surgeons don't have Prolozone in their offices for such problems instead of just saying take a higher dose of pain pills. If it were not for Dr. Bloem I would have gone through knee replacement surgery and if at all like my mother and aunt, who had knee replacements, still have pain and issues walking. We recommend anyone told they need surgery, actually any problem at all, call Dr. Bloem FIRST!

There was no staff! The place was a dump? When pulling up to the driveway there were at least 15 trashcans thrown around. The house was a mess inside and outside.

Dr. Bloem has been my go to for Prolozone therapy for years now. My ONLY complaint is his deliberateness I don't feel as others that he does it add to his bill...nonsense. I am coming from North Carolina to see him. I am stunned that a reviewer considered it a waste of time to receive important health information. How can you be a good wellness steward if you are not OPEN to new information. If your looking for glam and glitz...he's not it. He is about alternative healing techniques. Prolozone Thereapy is incredible and he does it...very well i might add. Find another Dr. in the DC Metro area trained to do what he does...you won't.
