I am a nurse with 20 years experience. Dr. Spitler is my family doctor and I have always had excellant service and care. My children like her and she is very easy to talk to. She is caring and knowledgable and I would and do recommend her to anyone needing a family doctor.

Dr Spitler is our family doctor, my husband is a physician also and recommended her to me for our family. We have a large family and we all love the fact that she takes care of all of us. Dr. Spitler is thorough and professional, yet she is very warm and approachable. She is also a very confident and strong advocate for her patients but she is someone who will consult with me on various therapies. She talks with my daughters about women in medicine and she talks to me about foster kids and the various effects on them from school/medicine/behavioral changes. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Spitler. She is truly OUR family doctor and someone I feel is an important team member in raising my family. I really loved the personal and small town feel of the old office by the hospital. I loved going there & taking my kids there. The new office format is not my favorite & I wish she would move back to a small office, but if that is where Dr. Spitler is--that is where we will go.

This is Dr. Spitler. After careful consideration to the entry on Oct 28, 2010, I have decided to comment on it. Firstly, I am in fact very straight forward as a rule. I spend lots of time with patients in order to help them understand their medical conditions and to empower them to be part of their health care. Secondly, this lady stopped a medication that put her life potentially at risk. Thirdly, I would use the word "upset" rather than "angry" which is not correct here. I got upset because I care about her health and If she had called (we are on call 24/7), I would have been happy to start a new medicine to controll her medical problem. Finally, I would have preferred to discuss her dissatisfaction in person, rather than in an out of context forum such as this.

Not happy with my treatment. I can understand that its frustrating when a patient quits taking medication without consulting you, but Dr. Spitler got visibly angry with me, which I thought was very unprofessional. After a genuinely horrifying experience with the medication, it was very disappointing.

Dr Spitler is an excellent physician. She is knowledgeable, patient and spends a great deal of time with each patient. I trust her completely with my care and my husband and children's healthcare as well. I highly recommend this physician.

Dr. Spitler is an amazing doctor. She treats her patients and staff with respect. She has wonderful advice and knows what she is doing. On a side note, the negative review above is from an incompetent, rude, lying ex-emplyee. It's funny that the day after she was fired that negative review was put on here, so don't mind her. She is a petty and dispicable person. As for Dr. Heatly, I have never met her but since I'm in their office at least once a month I know that both the doctors are loved by all the patients I have encountered during my visits.

Staff is friendly and very helpful. This doctor saw me for the first time when I was in pain, and was caring and concerned about me. She takes time to discuss concerns in detail and is responsive to patient needs. She is a strong advocate for patients when the need arises. She is more than willing to prescribe generic medications if they are available.
