I have been going to her since I was 3, this is now 20 years later. Only reason I am still with her is because I’m awaiting a new family doctor. I can’t even think of a single time she made me feel comfortable or heard. Same for my father, brother, mother, and grandmother. To avoid writing an entire novel, NEVER. GO. TO. HER. literally not even if you’re dying.

i went in because it hurt when i peed, basically urinary tract infection which i was familiar with, having had the infection twice before. It is treated with medication. Instead of having me pee in a cup and testing it, dr tan asked me to lay down, take my pants off so she could “feel around”. I instantly felt disturbed. left right away as i refused . I’m glad i followed my intuition. I went to the hospital where they did standard testing.

Was very rude and made me feel stupid for coming in. Would never see her again if I had a choice.

Terrible doctor! Extremely rude and dismissive. I am on antidepressants long term and my family doctor is aware of my condition and supports it. I had to see Dr.Tan for a a renewal as my other doctor was unavailable. She said I shouldn't be on antidepressants and that if she were my doctor, she wouldn't prescribe them (Thank god she's not my doctor). She said she doesnt' support being on antidepressants - maybe some more mental health training and emapthy for patients you know nothing about??

I asked her another, unrelated question, and she said "That's not what your appt is for; you book another appt" Ummm wow, alrighty then. Would never see her again.

Dr. Tan has been my family doctor since I moved to YK, and now is my daughter's family doctor. Appointments historically have run late, but she has made an effort to book more time for patients if she knows what they are coming in for. She truly cares for her patients and builds a relationship with them (from my experience). She is also VERY thorough and addresses all of your concerns - and always calls back if you have a concern but do not want to go into the clinic. Also, the other staff in her team are equally amazing.

Dr Tan has been my doctor for 10+ years now and I am always happy with the level of care I receive. Yes she is often late but that is because she takes the extra time needed with each patient.

She is always in a rush and I can't stand looking at her face mask she always looks like she ready for surgery. If you are waiting for a long time in waiting room for her and she finally come in room she make it so rushed and she just wants to move you our as quick as you can. I RECOMMEND YOU MAKE A POINTMENT WITH NURSE PRACTITIONER IF YOU NEED MORE INFO AND SOMEONE WHO WILL LISTEN AND DIRECT YOU TO A SPECIALIST IF NEED BE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DOCTOR

I have never been to such a rude appointment in my life. I was made to feel stupid and not knowledgable about my own body. I was quickly told that I did not have "MD" behind my name and I should leave the 'thinking' to the real doctors. I have never in my life been treated like this and won't ever again as I will not go back.
