I wish I never got my rhinoplasty from Dr Athre. HE IS FULL of empty promises. He had hounded me to leave him a great review and that he relied on this positive feedback. I had JUST had my bandages taken off when he started in on this. Of course - he wants you to leave a great review before you start seeing the true results of what he did to your face!

Let me tell you once he gets your money and does his half assed rhinoplasty and you have a problem? He will avoid you - you are on your own. He will not return phone calls, emails, his staff will ignore you - everything you can imagine. Pictures speak for themselves. One side of my tip of nose is higher than the other. I have a pointy knot at the very tip, it is so uneven I am ashamed to even be seen in public. My left nostril is deformed (just look at the pictures). I also have a pollybeak deformity because of him. My nostrils are uneven and I have scar tissue poking out inside my nostrils. It even hard to breathe. The tip of my nose is incredibly droopy. I should have avoided this man like the plague but I put my trust into him, and this is what I get. Dr. Athre will DO NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. REMEMBER THAT. FIND A SKILLED PLASTIC SURGEON WHO KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!

Great Doctor, staff and hospital. The fact that Dr. Athre also has an engineering degree puts him a step above the rest! Wish I had done this sooner.

This past June I received excellent service from Toni and Sandy. They are caring and punctual. I reviewed 10 Doctors, contacted 6 and met with 3. Dr Athre was by far the best choice! I felt like they truly cared about me as a person and ensuring I received everything I needed. Now after their efforts with my rhinoplasty look better than ever. I smile everytime I look in the mirror and truly believe I made the best decision with Dr. Athre!

The staff at Dr. Athre's office off of Sage needs some work. Toni needs training in calling clients back and scheduling. Sandy tries to sell you their skincare products when you are reluctant to sign up for a surgery date. She starts by telling you, you could possibly get the same results with their products if you choose to not have surgery. A bit of pressure felt and training needed.

Had a revision rhinoplasty done 2 years ago. The first surgeon massacred my nose. I had 6 consultations and finally decided to go with Dr. Athre. He was not the cheapest surgeon. However, I am very happy with my result. He gave me an accurate description of what I would feel and was accurate about expectations.

Had a Persian rhinoplasty with Dr. Athre. My sister has had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Athre 2 years ago. Flew in from London to have him do my nose. It was the easiest thing I have ever done. Awesome experience. Am very happy. I still look like myself. Look very natural.

Sandy and Toni are amazing. Sandy is thorough, pleasant and very accommodating. I had a rhinoplasty, facelift, and upper eyelids. My surgery results are excellent. Dr athre was exceptionally thorough. He explained surgery, what to expect. I have referred 2 family members.

I recently went to Dr. Athre for a rhinopasty consultation. Dr. Athre appeared to be educated and informative on the subject and got me excited for possibly scheduling the surgery even though he was the first doctor I had seen. However, once it was time to speak with his business/scheduling manager, Sandy, I felt pushed and pressured into putting a deposit down on the surgery that day. When she finally realized I needed a couple days to think about whether he was the right fit... she then begins trying to sell me Dr. Athre's skin care treatment. After a week or two I actually decided to go ahead with Dr. Athre and schedule the surgery putting my down payment down. I quickly realized this was an irrational decision and went to see another doctor and decided to go with the new doctor. I quickly called Dr. Athre's office to cancel my appointment and get a refund on my deposit which was far less painful than I expected.

Bottom line... Dr. Athre is probably a great doctor... however, Sandy comes off desperate and made me feel pushed into scheduling the surgery ASAP and was FAR from making me feel comfortable having Dr. Athre work on my face. Word of advice, see multiple doctors!

***GENERAL*** This surgeon was fired prior surgery by the patient due to sub-standard medical best practices which include; being unprofessional and being exposed for lying to the patient after not appearing for the scheduled surgical procedure on day of procedure.
* STAFF: Mixed review reported by patient. Staff member Lisa reportedly honest and helpful while staff member Tony could use training on proper patient communication.
* HELPFULNESS: Sub-standard. This surgeon cancelled surgery without notifying the patient or their contracted UTMB facility on the day of surgery with the patient on a pre-op IV for hours waiting on a no-show surgeon. This has resulted in a formal UTMB review board of this incident with consideration of this surgeons current contract being cancelled by UTMB.
* RECOMMENDATION: Consider more qualified surgeons.
