If you are looking for chit chat? Don't see Dr. Sekhar. If however you are looking for a straight up approach and want stay with the facts? Then he is the one to see. As read below, he does sit behind the desk and asks very specific questions. The answers were for me very one line answers (no chit chat). He assessed me in the consultation. Being over 50 he did want to do a colonoscopy. After the procedure twice he came to me and we discussed the results. His assessment during the consultation was exactly what the procedure showed. In my opinion he is very professional in both his office approach and procedure. I would recommend Dr. Sekhar. No problem. No chit chat.

Most horrible dr I’ve ever seen, didn’t listen to anything I had to say made it seem like everything was in my head, told me to lose 100 pounds then he’d consider doing tests on me. If I lose 100 pounds I would weigh less than 110 pounds and I’m 5 foot 11 that could not even be a healthy weight for someone that height, useless dr With no time for anyone, was fully told I was wasting his time.

This has got to be the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life! I actually left his office feeling suicidal as he made me feel like I was crazy and everything was in my head. He sits there behind the desk and questions you like your on Trial and did something wrong. I had ongoing issues which he suggested I intake more fiber and that I had stress and anxiety causing my issues. I had to pretty much beg for a colonoscopy which he said was perfectly normal and sent a letter to my doctor suggesting it was depression and anxiety even though I lost 40 lbs and was passing blood constantly. I finally got a diagnosis from another specialist that I have a Mass in my abdomen which penetrated into my bowel. If I had caught this instead of battling with doctors for years I probably wouldn't have to have a bowel resection. Do not go to this doctor! Insist on another referral, he seems to be just passing time and has zero interest in helping his patients.

When i went to Dr. Sekhar, I was 95 pounds (when I am normally a healthy 150), and had nearly died before my colonoscopy. He was completely unwilling to treat the crohn's that I was diagnosed with until I had treated my HIV. I'm actually HIV negative. He assumed I was positive because I was living with my partner unmarried and had been sexually active since my teen years. He then told me to proceed living as normal, as my diet had no impact on Crohn's disease. When my HIV test came back negative, he basically dismissed me saying that I would need surgery in a few years and that I would never be well again.

Here I am 5 years later, having sought treatment from another professional. I have not had surgery and I am the healthiest I've ever been in my life.

This man should have his medical license revoked for how he treats his patients. Especially women.

No respect reciprocated to patients. Flimsy diagnosis. Argues with patients. Has an idea about what 'causes' something and that's it. No room for other options.

I have been seeing him for 7 years now for a chronic condition. I find him knowledgeable and have full confidence in his ability. Never feel rushed. Very timely. Receptionist is excellent and recently changed my appointment to accommodate travel plans for me.

Really disliked him as a doctor. I don't feel he took my illness seriously. After repeatedly telling him, for 2 years my medications weren't working he wouldn't do any testing or change my meds. I ended up severely sick with 2 emergency surgeries and multiple infections. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone

I found him timely and helpful. He always automatically gives me thorough explanation in terms I could understand. I thought his demeanor and attentiveness were excellent.
