Today, September 1/16, I saw Dr. Blanchard and he announced me that he was retiring in November. Dr. Blanchard is now 85 years old. He said I did my share.......

I'm shocked that Dr. Blanchard has not retired yet. He has never listened to me when I tell him what is wrong. I was having major bleeding & ended up having an unnecessary d&c for him to tell me I had early onset menopause. After another blood test, I got a call from the secretary to come in for a prescription as I was very anemic (even though I had told him for several months that I was bleeding very heavily & almost constantly, that I was weak & tired all the time...). As many have mentioned, he just goes on & on about topics completely unrelated to your visit but doesn't listen to what you are telling him. I stopped seeing him 10 years ago because of this...and as I said, I'm shocked he is still practicing.

Amazing Doctor!!!
I'm 22 and I've been seeing him since I was 13 years old. Always makes time for emergencies. He is extremely helpful and understanding of my fears and is reassuring. I don't know what I will do once he retires.

Le Docteur Blanchard était un excellent médecin. Mais je crois qu'il serait temps pour lui de prendre sa retraite. Il n'écoute pas, a un égo plus grand que nature, critique les autres médecins. Ma fille de 17 ans a eu un tumeur sur un ovaire, heureusement encore bénin. Il a été très gentil avec elle avant la chirurgie. Par contre, lors de la visite de contrôle, il lui a parlé avec tous les détails d'une autre jeune fille de son âge qui a eu un tumeur semblable et en est décédée. Ma fille en a eu pour des semaines à s'en remettre. J'ai cessé alors d'être sa patiente également.

Dr. Blanchard , impatient et plutôt rude. Il n'est pas à l'ecoute des ses patients. Il jase pour rien dire ..... il devrait pensé à prendre sa RETRAITE ......

horrible doctor. does not listen. He just talks politics and spouts his knowledge and wont let you get a word in edgewise. His wife/receptionist is delightful on the other hand and most helpful.

Dr. Blanchard delivered our 2nd child. It was a very pleasant experience. He monitored the whole process from pregnancy till birth. Our first child was delivered by Cesarean elsewhere, and we were expecting to do the same for the second. But Dr. Blanchard encouraged us to deliver naturally this time and he was pretty confident. We listened to his advice. Everything went smoothly. We are very grateful for him. We never forget him after so many years and moving away from west of montreal.

I had visited this doctor twice before and noticed that he simply did not listen to anything I say but the last visit was the proverbial straw. After being downright rude to me both in the reception and in his office, he responded in a most boorish and cavalier way to my concerns and would not even look at me. When prompted to tell me what was wrong, he answered "what do you want, cancer?". When I complained he was hurting me, he said "put your hands down, are you conducting an orchestra?". I will never go back to him again and strongly recommend that you avoid him like the plague. I have never seen a doctor with such poor manners and respect for his patients.
