After many years with lower back pain pain, I was referred to Dr. Klafeta. During my first visit he recommended not to perform surgery and to try pain management. He explained in great detail the pros and cons/risks of the surgery and the lengthy recovery process. Not happy with his decision I followed up with my trusted team (family physician, PT, and chiropractor). All said that he is the best surgeon and the only one that they would allow to operate on their family. So after 3 years of pain management I was no longer able to walk or sit for any length of time and I was referred back to Dr. Klafeta. He and his team reviewed my MRI’s and noted severe deterioration from my prior visit. He felt confident that he could provide relief and get me back to enjoying daily activities. He walked me thru the steps and provided information on the surgery so I could review it with my family.

Surgery went as planned. I spent the next 3 days in the hospital. Dr. Klafeta or his PA, Aaron, followed up daily.

Post surgery follow up was with nurse Rebecca. Removed staples, reviewed pain level and addressed all questions I had. Again all staff were friendly, tentative and punctual. My second follow up was with Aaron. We arrived 35 minutes early and during check in the gal said she would inform Aaron we arrived. A few minutes later we were surprised when my name was called. As always, Aaron was friendly, very thorough providing a review of the surgery and current images, status of healing and what to do and expect before our next follow up. When we left all my questions and concerns were addressed and we were out of the office before the original start time. Not likely the norm but unheard of in a doctors office.

Overall my experience with Dr. Klafeta has been excellent. Dr. Klafeta and his team have demonstrated that their top priority is about improving my health. It’s been 2 1/2 months since my lower fusion surgery and I wake up everyday feeling stronger and that my life is better!

Dr. Klafeta inspired confidence both on his abilities and the efficacy of the fusion procedure. While I am only 5 months past my surgery I feel that the procedure was successful.

I love his honesty and he is extremely knowledgeable. Arron his P.A. is awesome. Staff can be a little slow.

I was forgotten about several times and had to remind them to do their work. Office handles to much and time with Dr. is minimal.
