Wish I could give him no stars. My mom had two mild strokes in the past, one of them was just a month before the heart surgery. She had three arteries blocked. She had no other complications. Kidneys, lungs all normal in fact no heart failure. He did not take any extra precautions to manage stroke and rushed her into surgery claiming 96% chances it will be a success. She had a massive stroke during surgery and died. They did not know until almost two days later that something was wrong. According to them it has never happened before, therefore they didn't take her stroke history seriously I guess. She never woke up.

He returned from surgery and told us my mother was fine and everything looked good. He said she didn't need to be placed in the ICU but it was protocol. She passed less than 24 hours later. Never even woke from the surgery.

I thank dr. Altergott for his attitude, expertise, golden hands and caring heart. That made my tricky operation for carotid blockage much easier to bear than I had expected. And with great results!

Dr. Altergott took his time with the family. He explained everything in detail, he also made all of us feel comfortable and relaxed. When surgery was over he answered questions and explained what we should exspect when we saw my father. Dr.Altergott is very experienced and knowlegable and comes right down to the families level he truely cares about his patients and their families and also loves what he does.
