I have been receiving Botox for muscle spasms for a number of years, long before Botox was even FDA approved. Dr Sub was not the first to treat my issues, but will be last if I have any say. Last Doctor had no interest in my issues other than to deliver injections, get paid and tell me about all the wonderful thing she and her family were up to. Dr. Sub has invested in MY concerns and taken time to listen and adjust treatment as needed. I appreciate is no frills approach. In addition the Staff is top notch and very helpful.

My husband was told he had an essential tremor by another doctor. After symptoms worsened, we sought a second opinion. How very fortunate we were to be placed in the care of Dr. Sub! This man is extremely knowledgeable about Parkinson's Disease. His passion is in research; and, he won't be satisfied until he is able to find a better way to treat his PD patients. We've been seeing Dr. Sub for 5 years. He is an integral part of our medical team. We can't thank him enough for the time given to us when we were first learning about this disease. COMPLETE confidence in this doctor.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2005 by an Army Doctor at Dunham Clinic, Carlisle Barracks. Because Walter Reed was two hours away, I was encouraged to see a local Doctor specializing in Parkinson’s. Consequently, I did what we did, in those days, I asked people I knew, suffering the same affliction, who they were seeing and their opinion of their Doctor. While each person I asked was seeing a different Doctor, a longtime friend, receiving care from Dr. Subramanian at The Hershey Medical Center, was the most enthusiastic and adamant about who my choice should be, Dr. Thyagarajan Subramanian ! It has been my observation that Parkinson is an individual disease. How it presents itself in my experience may be significantly different from your experience. What Dr. Sub brings to the battle is a vast knowledge based upon his years of both a practicing and teaching physician. We seem to always be at the tip of the spear of medical advancements in Parkinson’s. I especially like the fact that I am brought into the decision making process; options are highlighted, alternatives discussed, recommendations made, and an Order of Battle agreed upon. My only criticism is that sometimes there is a wait in the waiting room. This is mitigated by knowing that he is spending time with another patient that I appreciate when it is my turn. While I would choose not to have Parkinson’s, I believe that my life has been better because I chose Dr. Sub as my physician. Looking back and anticipating the future, I would make the same choice.

My father was a patient of Dr. Thyagarajan Subramanian for years for the treatment of Parkinson's€™ Disease. He scheduled an appointment to see Dr. Subramanian because he was feeling excessively tired and weak and felt it was due to his medication for PD. Dr. Subramanian walked in the room, did no exam, and told my father he was depressed - no vitals taken, no observation that he was clearly in distress. My father died 12 days after the depression diagnosis......from cancer. My father brought up his symptoms numerous times to this doctor and was ignored and, as a result, never had the opportunity to explore treatment options. In addition, the doctor was rude and condescending to him during that final visit as witnessed by my sister. While I understand that Dr. Subramanian is a neurologist and not an oncologist, he clearly should have observed that something was wrong and made a referral. But for about a year, he did nothing. Please think very carefully before scheduling an appointment with this physician.

I was diagnosed with Dystonia. I saw this Dr for Botox injections. I had a number of questions. He did a very short exam of making me walk across the room. Concluded I did not have dystonia. Said I don't know what you have but you do not need Botox. Go see your pcp.

My son has a major neurological disease and this was first visit with this MD. He did NO neurological exam, told disabled son that "Helen Keller was deaf and blind and she worked" and that if son did not want botox injections he did not need to see him and he could be seen by his primary care physician. He then left the room.
