Refuses to see patients after initial visit. Doesn’t run necessary tests before putting patients on strong drugs. Rude front desk. Avoid this place.

I went to see Dr. Torres for a biopsy and was greatly disappointed in just about every way. He rushed the whole procedure and not only that, about a week after I get a call thinking it was my results and it was the nurse telling me that he didn't take enough skin for the test to work. She told me he warned me that could happen.. but really- you have been doing this how long and you aren't familiar with the right amount of skin to remove?>why don't I just do it myself! I must be missing something. I told them i live an hour away, took off time from work and it is unacceptable that someone of his title doesn't know how to take enough for a biopsy. If you ask me its just a gimmick to get as much money as they can.. rush rush. and then make you come back. I was very unhappy, not to mention why would i want to go back to get my face hacked at some more when he couldn't get it right the first time. Very annoyed!

I had MOHS surgery on my scalp for squamous cell skin cancer. I had an early morning appointment, the staff was very efficient and timely, Dr. Torres was very professional, and the procedure took about two hours total as they had to make a second excision based on the testing, which had all been explained beforehand. The next day, I arrived for a 7 AM appointment for the closure. The doctor and staff were totally prepared, waiting for me. I had to change into a hospital gown, have the wound closed, change back to street clothes, and I was out of there by 7:30 AM. One couldn't ask for a better doctor or organization. I don't expect any surprises, and will have the staples removed in 2 weeks.

I'm very surprised at the negative comments. Dr. Torres and his staff were more than accommodating and helpful during MOHS surgery on my face. I was extremely nervous, but they all did their best to call me down and make me feel much better. The surgery itself was painless and as quick as possible.

The office kept me waiting in this small hole which is a changing area for more than 15 minutes and front desk staffs were rude and the actual procedure happened after 90 minutes after my appointment time for a small surgery.. I felt like I was NOT treated with dignity in this practice at all... Do they care about patients? I think not!!!

Although a fellow did the actual surgery (a basal cell carcinoma on my shoulder), Dr Torres was right there the whole time, answered all my questions, and was courteous and personable. Haven't seen the incision yet or had the stitches out, but so far so good.

I went to the doctor for the first time because of acne. He was very helpful in explaining to me how important it was to stick to the regimen. I waited about 20 min, ok time. Make sure to bring exact change for co pay. The staff was friendly and gave me coupons for my medication.

I had a cyst on my lip. I went to see his assistant, because I knew this had to be drained. The assistant insisted that Dr Torres needed to operate on it to remove the cyst bag. I agreed unwillingly. That same night this cyst became hot and swelled 5 times it's size. I had to break it myself, and it caused my cheek to swell like I had a tooth pulled. I went immediately to the Dr. Torres that following Monday. Showed my swollen face. Told him his assistant should have drained it like I asked. Also asked if I still can do the operation on the cyst bag. Overall he said she did the right thing, and he didn't have to operate any longer. I still had to pay another $40 to visit for this diagnosis. AND he offered me a shot to numb my lip, he did not looking at my insurance, I had a deductible and that small shot costed me $100. Which if he cared enough he should have checked out. He is a worthless Dermatologist.

I was referred to this doctor by a friend while I had really bad acne problems. The waiting time was really long and the front desk staffs asked me to pay co payment first. I did all of that, the actual time spent with the doctor was 5 min. or less because apparently he's seen a lot of acne patients, he didn't really examine my skin, instead, he just prescribed some really generic internal and external medicines which I had already been taking at the time. The doctor himself was nice but lack of patience. After I was done, the front desk staffs gave me some sample acne creams and were trying to persuade me into buying their expensive products. I got home and took out the samples only to find out some were actually expired!! I was very disappointed and I paid $50 co pay because he's considered a specialist.

he's a very good cosmetic surgeon and is great at not leaving scars. however he has a horrible beside manner and is often rushed and annoyed. i wouldnt care as long as my problem was treated, but he seemed annoyed when my problem kept returning, and unwilling to admit he might not know the answer or did something wrong. i think he's more interested in giving people cosmetic procedures than traditional dermatology. he tried to pawn me off to his resident intern a few times which was my last straw, and i've been seeing him for 2-3 years.
