I have been a patient of Puschinsky for at least 10 yrs. I trust him with my kidney stone issues and surgeries I have had.. I realize he sometimes seems very busy, and moves quickly from room to room. But he does have many many patients that use and trust him for their care. He has always talked to me and told me what needed to be done. Showed me my ct scan or x-rays there at the office before I ever leave. They have worked me in for emergency visits. Yes, it gets busy there and waiting at times a little longer but he is a professional and I would recommend him. And I have always loved the ladies in his office and his nurses too. Also his assistant Raymond is great.

I have been seeing Dr Puschinsky for about 7 years now. He first detected my prostate cancer in 09. With the detection of my Prostate Cancer he also found Kidney Cancer. Within 5 days he removed my right kidney. It tourned out to be the same cancer that took my Mother 3 years earlier. His staff have been extreamly helpful during this whole proccess. I am now batteling stage 4 bone cancer. See Dr P every 5 months for shots. I don't think I could have lived without him. He really cares.

I went to Dr. Puschinsky's office to have a diagnosis either confirmed or ruled out; upon arrival for my appointment I was not notified of any delay in seeing patients but ended up being there for two hours with a 4mth old. The procedure was a cystoscopy. The office appears outdated, unclean, and cluttered. Once Dr.Puschinsky came in the room there was no explantation as to what was about to be done, what to expect, or for that matter there was little to no talking to me. He appeared rushed, agitated, and very rude. Once he was ready to begin the procedure he was very aggressive and forceful resulting in me feeling the scope ripping through as he inserted it into my urethra causing a tear. He only looked in my bladder for about 30 seconds and after he finished he got up and began to exit the room without even saying a thing other than "come back in two weeks for DMSO treatments". I quickly asked what does that mean? Do I have IC or not what did you see? All he said was "your symptoms seem to be consistent with that" and shut the door. He did not even ask if I had any questions, give me post procedure directions, or tell me what to expect in the next 24-48 hours. His assistant attempted to answer a few of my questions as best she could but I was left in such an abrupt manner I was speechless. Having worked in emergency medicine for 6 years I have had numerous interactions with physicians of every speciality and have never personally seen such horrible bedside manner. When working in the ER we often times had to do urinary catheters and it was always a servile procedure with sterile gloves during this procedure it concerned me that he did not wear sterile gloves so when I asked around if he should have had sterile gloves I received mixed answers of yes and no but also encountered two friends whom work in the medical field that have experience with him one of which gave the advice of "do not go back there change doctors now!" I left feeling violated, frustrated, and had more questions than when I went in. I went the next day and requested to have my records transferred to another urologist due to in the inadequacy of my experience in addition to learning of two others who have experienced his lack of professionalism and him doing a aggressive procedure on one of them as well. I was told they work on records on Monday and Wednesday morning and it should be done the following Monday I went to the new urologist two weeks later and he still had not received the medical records transfer or transcript of the procedure. His office staff called to get a copy for his review while I was there and much to my expectation I was told "he didn't really document much in regards to the procedure". I asked what the purpose of DMSO treatments was; only to be told that is a somewhat outdated treatment that the new urologist no longer even uses. After many questions and a pelvic exam I was told the new urologist does not believe I have the signs or symptoms of IC. This experience overall was horrible and the purpose of my review is to prevent others from enduring the same experience, trauma, and violation I endured.

I had a very pleasent experience at Dr. Puschinsky's office. He was punctual, the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. While in his office, I was made to feel very comfortable and truly got the sense that he really cared. My son was given the highest quality of care. He really has a special ability to help young children feel comfortable in the office setting. Dr. Puschinsky also personally called us himself the next day to tell us the test results. I highly reccommend Dr. Puschinsky!

Dr. Puschinsky was very helpful in diagnosing and treating kidney, prostate, and bladder cancer in my relative. His prompt and thorough evaluation of the high PSA is probably what saved his life. Because of his thorough evaluation, my relative will be able to share many more years with us. It was through the in-house CT machine that it was discovered that he had more than 2 types of cancer suspected in my body. Dr. P explained everything to us and because we saw him after the CT, we didn't have to wait for the results. although it was a difficult visit, I can look back on it now and give my heartfelt thanks to the way Dr. P treated me and my family. Even when I had more questions about the treatment for my relative, I was able to call and talk DIRECTLY to the dr. That was GREAT!! I didn't get funneled to a nurse or assistant. The doctor actually had time to talk to me on the phone, and I wasn't even the patient. I would strongly recommend this physician! He saved his life!

Dr. Puchinsky did not inform me of the type of stent he planned to use for my kidney stone removal. The double j stent was not properly lubicated and my body tissue attached to it. Not only did my kidney have spasms which caused me great discomfort, but whenever it came time to remove the double j stent he had to spray water and jerk it free from the atteched tissue. This of course was done vaginally.Since that time I have been in constant pain. Also, I now have a prolapsed bladder and cannot fully empty my bladder, and have stomach and side pains, which I have never experienced years previous to the procedure. I had the same procedure done to remove stones on the opposite kidney and even removed my own stents as instructed by my urologist at the time. I never experienced any side effects after my previous procedure witanother urologist.
