I will not be returning to Dr Doxey again. I am appalled by his bedside manners the last time I was in for an EGD. I have been seeing Dr Doxey for over 15 years, I paid a lot of money and put a lot of faith into him and unfortunately his attitude made things very uncomfortable. Any questions or concerns I had he treated it as though I was inconveniencing or annoying him. He is so quick to write off a concern with no other way to improve a situation, instead informing me what I already know and sending me on my way. I will be finding another doctor who cares about his patients and doesn’t just write them off as another problem.

I went to Dr Doxey's endoscopy center in Bountiful a few years ago for a routine colonoscopy. I arrived on time and waited quite a long time in the sweltering lobby where there were a lot of rather wild and noisy kids. I was relieved to be taken in the back, but then mortified at the lack of privacy. There are walls between the bays, but just a curtain between each bay and the central area, so I heard every conversation with at least half of the patients there at the same time. Many were conversations about the results after their procedures. So much for HIPAA... Anyway, none of the staff were particularly warm --- just "efficient". I finally met Dr Doxey for the very first time when I was taken in the procedure room, and again, "efficient" is how I would describe him. He came and talked to me afterwards when I was only barely awake and so I only remember bits and pieces of the conversation. I had to ask the nurse to recap it for me later.
All in all, I felt like a number. This was all particularly disappointing because I am a nurse and know how things CAN be with even just a little effort. He may be knowledgeable, but I would not go back to him or any of his partners who utilize that endoscopy center. I would willingly travel 3x as far to see one of the many other gastroenterologists in the area.

I went in for my bi-annual routine colonoscopy. Dr. Doxey and his staff always make the procedure so stress free and keep me at ease. I recommend Dr. Doxey and his staff to anyone that\'s looking for a gastro.

This was my first time coming to Dr. Doxey. I have previously gone to LDS hospital and wanted to go there again. My previous doctor was no longer available. My husband had gone to Dr. Doxey and was pleased, so I decided to go to him. I was very happy with my experience there. The only thing not so pleasant is the prep you have to go through. I will go to Dr. Doxey next time.

The day of the procedure I arrived at the facility and the receptionist was very helpful. The wait was a little longer than I had anticipated before they took me back to my assigned bed. The nurse there was great and very helpful both in getting me ready for the procedure and once we were in the procedure room. I could not have asked for anyone better. Dr. Doxey was very kind and excellent. He answered all of my questions before the procedure and again after the procedure. I have a lot of confidence in him. Everything went very well. Overall the experience was okay, considering what the procedure was. The doctor and staff were courteous and answered all questions. The preparation can be a little unpleasant but the results of the procedure can be comforting and informative to your on going health.

Waited more than an hour to be seen, but I understand that these things happen and it really was not a problem. Just wanted to get it over with (if you know what I mean). It seems easier every time I have this procedure done. Thanks!!

Dr. Doxey is excellent. He has been taking care of me for over 5 years. He is kind, courteous, and very personable. He makes sure that I understand what is being done and why. He takes time to explain results in a manner that I can easily understand. He has a very calming nature and bedside manner. I appreciate his level of expertise and focus on patient care. At no time have I ever felt that I have not been treated with the finest care and concern for my well being. I highly recommend Dr. Doxey.
