Excellent service. From the doctor to the staff...my appointment was on time and I was in and out.

Just returned from Pearland location with Dr Sun and her office. I live 45 min from the center and fortunately arrived on time for my appt despite the flooding rains this morning! I mention this in my effort to understand the cause for the service, or lack of, that I received in her office. My experience as a whole was rather off putting. Other than to say the staff, and more importantly Dr Sun, likely provided me with an accurate eye exam for glasses and contacs, I left there with an uncomfortable feeling of having been treated with ambivalence and disinterest, even arrogance . My exam was provided with all the consistency, mechanics and processing of a well oiled yet overly run machine. From my check in to the very end when I was left at an end table, with my try in contacs and a mirror, I felt like with every step in the process of my appt, I became more of an inconvenience than an actual human being that needed a simple eye exam. During my exam I got the feeling that Dr Sun had very little interest, even impatience in accommodating a patient that had no visible signs or seemingly further need of her time or expertise. I felt as though, to ask Dr Sun any questions other than those that fall within the boundaries of a very basic eye exam were quite unwelcome. In the end I was left sitting at a small brown table, a mirror and two sets of contacs without any marking or indication of which was left and which was right. I also noticed as I sat, the assistant that performed the check on my eyes walked right passed me in then out of a doorway straight in front of me without even a glance or a smile.
After being given my try in contacs, I leaned back and called over to the try in person if she could please indicate for me which was the left and right eye respectively. After placing my right eye in, I leaned in close to insert my left contac which she had opened, and placed on my finger. Before placing in my eye I noticed a tear. Apparently it had gotten torn with the plastic tweezers she used to place it on my finger. She stepped away to locate a new contac package to replace it and then returned to say they were out of that one contac in their inventory. No apology or explanation of replacement. I find it needless to say anything further since it's likely these complaints or dissatisfaction of service will fall on def ears . I don't write reviews however I felt it a good time to start. We pay our very hard earned money for a service, we don't generally expect our trust and faith in that service to be given to us with such complacency and disregard. Especially not in the Health and Medical profession.

Met with Dr. Ruda for an ilea injection. He is a quiet man. The injection was painless and quick. The support staff was friendly and helpful explaining all that was happening. I am encouraged to meet with Dr. Sun for Cataract Exchange. John GRDEN, JR.

Have been going to Berkley since lasix surgery in 1999. Then I have continued here once they opened Pearland office. Dr. Sun is the best. Answers all your questions and takes the time to explain. Clean and quiet office. Beverly F

I brought my 6 year old daughter in for her first exam. First, we were greeted with a smile from Mabel, then Erin called her back right away. Brinnley was a little nervous about her appointment, but Erin was so gentle and made everything a game. Dr. Sun was so sweet and great with Brinnley. I got LASIK at Berkeley Eye Center and I'm very pleased with the results and the service from staff. Dr. Sun did the procedure and she's excellent. All the staff members were pleasant and they did a good job of answering my questions and making me feel comfortable during the procedure. I would definitely recommend Berkeley Eye Center for LASIk!
