I saw him the first time after being diagnosed with a very rare disease. When I mentioned I was going to a specialist in Cleveland he disregarded me for doing so and said we could treat you here. However, his interns, were first to examine me before he even came into the room and then he never even did an exam on me. He barely even listened to my concerns. I then went to him a second time after I returned from the specialist in Cleveland for another concern as recommended by the specialist. He also mentioned it was a good thing I went there this time since they found yet another rare thing wrong with me. When he came in all he wanted to do was immediately change the medication I was on, never touched me, examined me and told me, "well you've lived a fairly good life for the first 50 years of your life". So for the rest of my life I am just supposed to turn over and die and/or not have a good life!!! I was absolutely astonished! He is so rude!! I immediately fired him and found a new neurologist who has listened to me and treated my symptoms.

My daughter was referred to Dr. Whiteside before he came into the room his 2 interns came in and asked questions they were both extremely nice and empathetic when they returned with Dr. Whiteside he was totally opposite didn’t look at me once was always typing in his computer and very cold. It was as though we were wasting his time he then referred her to have different tests a couple having to do with something completely different than what we went to see him for not once did he mention her mental condition! I will not take her back.

Totally dismissed my complaint with the statement, "I'm afraid medical science has not answer
for your problem." He implied the Dr. I had been seeing was a quack for treating my condition
with xanax. I think he believed I was only after drugs. Well he had no problem taking my
money.

Takes 3-6 months between scheduled appointments and very rushed when you finally get to see the doctor.

I didnt have much money to see a doctor so friends found Dr. Wescher and they paid for the visits. Because of an unknown I ended up being treated by his P.A., and everything went wrong from medication to listening, my primary Dr. Kaylor advised a different doctor and referred me to Dr. Whiteside, who decided to transfer to a Dr. Kashirny who was a very cold man who wanted either a yes or no answers as he did not have time, i got my medical records and was horrified by what he had written, I was a joke to him and as has also a psychiatrist he deemed me mentally ill. He also said there wasnt anything he could. I also have Sudden death syndrome. So i left. Dr. Kaylor referred me to Dr. Mary Rivers, her staff she refused me and said i should go back to the previos Dr.'s for continuity of care. I would rather commit suicide or refuse paramedics and seek no medical care than to be treated miserably. Dr. Rivers had no desire to understand. I just wanted to feel secure and safe and listened to.

Dr. Whiteside was very thorough and had a very kind approach to the difficulties we are having with an aging parent.

Misdriangosed me even admitted that he over shot the diagnosis a bit put me on plavix even though the neruo intervention surgery that HE sent me to said that it was too aggressive treatment for me. I'm searching for someone else to get other opinions.

I was referred to Dr. Whiteside to help me with my Parkinson's. He took extremely little time actually talking to me about anything. He knew of one drug (the most common for Parkinson's) he wanted to try. So I started a regiment of that. After a week or two, I told him it had no effect. So he doubled it (I thought you'd want to ramp up or something). Tried this for another week or two, saw no effects so he doubled it again. That's when the dystonia started. I suspect triggered by the massive doses of the med. When he wanted to double it again, I'd had enough and went elsewhere. Since then, the dystonia hasn't gone away.

He was really late and rushed with me. He was confused as to what is going on with me. He referred me to Seattle to further try and find out what's wrong. He could tell I can't walk well and I used a cane so he suggested I send in to his office a application for a disabled parking placard. I did but never received it.I went to the DMV and they had no record of it.I called Whiteside and his nurse said he would not fill it out because I did not have a diagnosis! He is the one who told me on the first place to fill it out and send it to him! Not acceptable at all. I will be changing neurologists for sure!

This doctor is great and truly cares about his patients. I referred my friend to him because his mom was having some major issues and he was able to figure out what was going on. I personally hate st Luke's because of all the surgeries and complications. It has made me a bitter person but I will not stop seeing dr Whiteside. Good doctors are hard to find.
