A disgusting example of a human being, twisted everything I said and called me a liar regarding my ptsd symptoms. Absolutely only in this for insurance company money. I left her office feeling suicidal every time. The 1st time she didn't even bother to show up, just did it via a laptop and I'm the one who had to sit in her office when I am struggling with agoraphobia. A horrible negligent person

I was referred to Gemma for an assessment by my workplace. Gemma was clear, direct, and compassionate in the examination, and gave me a sense of control over what would and wouldn’t be shared with my employer. The report she submitted was truthful, supportive, and most importantly for me - validating. I am so grateful to Gemma for this outcome and would happily recommend her to others.

The bad reviews are all true what can I say . This woman is paranoid of being recorded . God help you if you send someone a text message whilst actually being in the waiting room not even her office . Very unprofessional and argumentative to say at the least .

This doctor is awful to deal with. Sells her reports to the highest bidder. Beware of the smiling assassin.

I found Gemma to be compassionate, understanding and knowledgeable. She helped me at the most difficult time in my life. I have seen pychiatrist since I was 2 and have been to plenty in my 50 years. I would recommend her to others who want a balanced opinion. She plays her cards close to her chest but if you are genuine so are her reports. Remember not all psychiatrist gel with all patients so if you aren’t getting what you want from a psychiatrist pull out and tell them honestly that you would prefer someone else. Do not spend money on a report you may not be happy with. I assure you Gemma will understand if you tell her how you feel.

Got a report from her. Got what I expected. I am happy with it

1) She is not on insurance company's side, BUT she is not on your side either
2) Her job is to find out, whether your issue/problem is from your life history.
3)She is friendly, easy to talk to.

This is how in works: Edwards Smith will warmly greet you and make you feel comfortable. Her role nonetheless is to misuse her elementary school knowledge of psychiatry and people to do a hatchet job on the worker and cast him or her as a damaged misfit , in order that Edwards Smith’ s meal ticket, namely the government agency or insurer ( who have requested the report) are then able to destroy the employment finances reputation and indeed life of the worker. Edwards Smith is an inherent deceitful dishonest and incompetent individual who is just for herself, and her greed not only clouds her very limited judgement , but additionally she does no favour to the worker as well as the integrity and reputation of the medical profession it is claimed she represents. Stay well clear of her.

She will present as very caring friendly and compassionate. Then you will obtain the reprt which is full of lies, distortions, trivialisations of your stress and suffering, contradictions in opinions, misinterpretations of information, and a character assassination on the client by the misuse of psychiatric labels and she freely throws around the label personality disorder to do a hatchet job on the client and favour the insurance company or medical regulator in the case. In it for the buck, a nasty piece of work, incompetent with elementary school knowledge of psychiatry and human nature, and a puppet and useful idiot for the corporation. Suffering from a personality disorder herself. Adds to the distress of the clients' situation. Avoid.
