She is completely knowledgable in her field, asks questions instead of just talking,she really cares about each patient, she spends as much time as possible with me without rushing. She is thorough, offers suggestions and alternative treatment. She asks what my priorities are, then asks if she has met my goals. Her staff, usually Ingrid, treats me as I am a good friend, but in a professional way. The reminders on the medical portal are always accurate and on time. She can visually analyze me as I approach her office, and is always positive and uplifting in our conversations. She is a rare type of specialist: she is top of her profession and very friendly, very caring, and always has a plan once she knows the situation. I look forward to visiting her each time. How many patients can say that about their doctors?

Dr. Monique Giroux is the only Parkinson doctor I trust . I am her patient since 2004 and followed her from Cleveland Clinic Ohio to Kirkland Lake . She is a remarkable person very natural down to earth energetic and very knowledgeable in her profession . A true leader in her field . Very caring. One can feel that she loves what she is doing . A true inspiration for her patients . She look at me at time of entry and knows 20 sec. what I do need and still talks with her patients at length .

Head doctor @ Parkinson's Center. She really explains things thoroughly & involves you in the treatment options/decisions - thoroughly understands all aspects of living with Parkinsons. Believes in & encourages holistic approach (yoga, meditation, stress reduction, supplements) as well as traditional medication treatments. Encourages family caretakers to come to appointments. Only negative is she's in high demand & you have to schedule appointments well in advance. Front desk person Mark is easy to talk with & calls back quickly.
