This is the 2nd back surgery I’ve had to have and I was blessed enough to have Dr. Jason Thompson perform both! The first time back ruptured back in 2016 he did a discectomy and I was immediately better.

I was in a car accident in 2019 causing a slight rupture, he said it’s fine, (which I fully trust him & believe his word!!!)

Well, I was dancing and it full on ruptured again. I went to ER 2 days in a row. The PA called him, he looked at my MRI and he had me on the sched next day!

Again, immediate relief. But, it’s not just the immediate relief he provides. He has the best bed side manner. He’s confident in what he does. He is good at what he does. And best of all, he’s honest, open, and thorough!

If, God forbid, you need spinal surgery….Dr. Thompson is your guy. I’m confident I’m saying, you’ll be in the best hands!!! Thank you for all you’ve done for me Doc!

Dr. Thompson is a great Doctor. He found a cyst in the spinal canal that other Doctors had missed, removed it and returned me to pain free running. Years later, I went to him for spinal stenosis. He got another MRI and patiently explained the problem while showing me the imagery. He gave me CDs of all his imagery and discussed in detail the surgery required. Post Op he took x-rays and went over the images and talked about the surgery and the results. I'm back to running pain free again. I highly recommend him for patients who want to be informed about their condition and their options.

I did three consults with this doctor trying to get information to make an informed decision. Each time, I left his office having more questions then before. But, had the surgery because I was told the vertebrae was pressing on my spinal cord. And that it was serious. That if I were to get in an accident, I could be paralyzed or die.

He was vague about the procedure.. The procedure for neck fusion was not explained in any detail, even though I tried to press him.

And evasive...when asked three different times at three different appointments about possible long term damage or initial damage due to the procedure itself, he never mentioned shoulder damage or nerve damage ...not once. He said there could be temporary injury that would heal in time.

Then, he prescribed oxycodone for pain after surgery, and when I developed allergic reation, told me to keep taking it with benedryl. He had been told pre op that I was allergic to codeine

I am now 5 years post op and have permanently damaged shoulders and can no longer taste or smell. Thanks alot doc.

Dr. Thompson seems like he knows what he is talking about but you hardly ever get to see him. You get to see other doctors in there first. I had surgery last year on my back (12-07). He told me that it is really worn out back there and he was going to try to see if we can wait to do a fusion because of my age. I got an infection after the surgery. I woke up with a numb right leg and I still have a numb leg. I can't walk very far. He had me see another doctor in there and that doctor tells me a need a new job and I will be stuck like this for the rest of my life once it hits a year. Well one year is almost up so I went to another doctor in Bellevue. My L5 Vertebrae slipped, my right side is pinched off. So I my having a nerve decompression and a back fusion done soon. I do have nerve damage now. I had a EMG and Nerve Conductivity(SP?) test done. Dr. Thompson didn't answer or worn me about anything prior to surgery. I didn't get any answers until I went to another doctor in Bellevue.
