Little bit expensive, but did a FANTASTIC job on my root canal. Seriously, one of the BEST doctors I've EVER been to, and I went to plenty of dentists. I'd even say he's F'ING AMAZING. Thank you!

7/30/2010 - My tooth #13 (upper L molar) had flared up with intense pain following crown prep. My regular endodontist Dr Javelet was booked and referred me to Dr Pastor. Luckily Pastor was able to squeeze me in, and he even provided premeds (4x500mg Amox) which I had forgotten to take ahead of time. After 2 hours the procedure was finished, with care and precision. He even checked his work through a microscope before filling it in. I no longer felt the sharp lingering pain to cold water and ws able to enjoyed ice cream that night. Later that evening in bed I awoke with throbbing pain from unconsciously grinding my teeth. He responded to his cell phone when I called the next day, Saturday, advising this pain is normal for 1-2 days following. He told me how to minimize the pain with meds, staying upright, and avoiding tooth contact. It's been 24 hours since the root canal; the pain is subsiding. I'm encouraged everything will be OK, since Dr Pastor offered to followup if needed.

This guy's specialty is endodontist meaning he performs root canals. I came in with an emergency since my tooth was in a lot of pain. His staff was very friendly and there is a very positive atmosphere in the office. The whole procedure lasted for about one hour then I had to come back for a follow up appointment that lasted another hour. The first injection of painkiller did not work so well, so they had to give me some more. After that I did not feel a thing really. The assistant kept periodically chatting with the doctor and this kept me entertained for the time. Price for a root canal on front tooth is about $900 so it is not the cheapest place. One thing i did not like is them adding some kind of $50 courtesy fee as i don't like random fees pop up on my bills which i don't understand what they are for. It has been now close to a year since my appointment and the tooth is doing fine, so the root canal was successful. Overall I would recommend this endodontist.
