I brought my son into Dr. Pham because I felt my son was having seizures. Dr. Pham said my son was just depressed and give him medication for that. This weekend my son was in the ICU because of a grand mal seizure...he was alone...has head trama. This is the second time in the last 3 months he has been admitted to the emergency room for his SEIZURES!!! Thanks for nothing Dr. Pham

WARNING: DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!! Absolutely horrible experience with this "doctor". He should have his license revoked. I went to him for epilepsy and he told me that I'm going to have seizures no matter what, and then gave me a ridiculously high dose of Lamictal. My new neurologist didn't want to criticize Dr. Pham directly, but he made it clear that he wouldn't have jumped from 200mg to 400mg like Dr. Pham did. The very first time I saw Dr. Pham, my impression was that he was a complete quack. He had me smell 4 different random things. I don't even know what he was doing. It was weird. I told him the medications that my neurologist gave me in NJ and told him I needed more because I was experiencing rage, and he essentially accused me of being a junkie stating very firmly "That's a schedule 1 substance" -- yeah, I know, I've been taking drugs for 20 years for epilepsy and sleep problems. In the end, I yelled at Dr. Pham after he insulted me and I stormed out of his office. He refused to see me again, which I have absolutely no problem with. The only reason I went to Dr. Pham was because he was a Medicaid doctor that I could get a quick appointment with. It's no wonder I was able to get a quick appointment--Dr. Pham is a sham, and I've had many seizures since I've seen him. He claims I will continue to have seizures regardless of medicine, then my question is, what's the point of going to the doctor? None, at least not him. I had the best neurologist on the east coast, Dr. Orrin Devinsky, and he actually cared about his patients. My seizures were under control when I had a good neurologist on the east coast. Dr. Pham's bad attitude, lack of compassion, and inability to think critically are not qualities I want in a doctor. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Sham to my worst enemy.

Dr. Pham called me on the phone to tell me I have MS! Who tells a patient that over the phone? I was not impressed the first visit I had with him either. While in the room speaking with me he answered his phone in front of me. Didnâ??t say please excuse me or anything; it was very rude for a doctor to do this while speaking to him about your health and pain you have. It seemed like he didnâ??t really care at all. Will never recommend him to anyone!

I saw Dr. Pham one time in January of 2010. Today I was served with a court summons for debt with his office. Upon further research (calling insurance company, talking to collection agency) I found out his office never billed my insurance even though I submitted all the correct information. The collection agency says they were informed by his office that I never responded to the three letters sent to me to come fill out more paperwork in regards to a change of insurance. Funny thing is I never received any letters, and I had just the one insurance carrier at the time. I had never seen Dr. Pham before so I was not a previous patient who had changed insurance. So anyone who sees Dr. Pham make sure they bill your insurance correctly so you don't get dragged into court 4 years later. I truly never knew about this issue until today or I would have nipped it in the bud early on.

Dr. Pham is amazing, helped me when a number of other neurologists failed. His office manager and receptionist are not very pleasant, but it's well worth putting up with to have such a great Dr.!
