Dr. Bardot is short and to the point. I got a da Vinci Robotic prostatectomy. He downplayed the percentages of complications of impotence and incontinence. I was lead to believe most men have no problems after surgery. I was told after surgery that my nerves were spared and my anatomy was very good and that I should have no problems. However, most men do have incontinence and impotence problems and I was one of them. I was told there was sex therapy available. This consisted of Cialis being prescribed. After that did not work I was given tri mix compound to inject. This caused peronies disease. Now I am being offered a penile implant which will cost my insurance, if approved, $30,000! I had a very slow cancer and I could have lived another 20 years without surgery. Pca cancer patient are scared into getting surgery. Not all Pca need to be removed. Watchful waiting is a good way to keep an eye on the cancer until it is establish that it is a fast growing cancer and treatment chosen.
