On April 6th 1998, I experienced a massive brain aneurysm with rupture. Otakar performed 16 hours of brain surgery, saving my life. Recovery was a very long process. What I remember the most about the man was his final talk with me in his office. He said I had been dealt a very hard deck of cards in life. I could take disability or work through my hurdles ahead of me. He hoped I chose the latter, which I did. Because of this man I have experienced marriage, children, a successful career, and now grandchildren. Thank you for giving me life.

Dr. Hubschmann and his partner Dr. Koziol make up a team that can't be compared to any other. Dr. Hubschmann was my mother's surgeon and took on a challenge that he very easily could have turned down. The risks were enormous, due to her age, illnesses and extent of spinal damage, but he didn't let us down. As frightening as it was, her surgery was an absolute success due to his brilliance and amazing skills. I highly recommend this team to anyone that is contemplating neurosurgery. They are definitely the best in the business!

Outstanding and brilliant! Everyone in his office was wonderful to me! He is humble and compassionate! He is very thorough. He is just the best! Explain everything, answers all your questions, and is very patient. In addition, he has gifted hands! The delicate operations he performs are amazing! He did my c-spine surgery through the front of my neck and one year later there is absolutely no visible scar! He is the best! I know many people he has operated on. Inhave never heard a single complaint!

brilliant, compassionate and an excellent surgeon. not a hand-holding bedside manner type, but he's tops as a surgeon, both at finding the problem and fixing it.
