Most caring doctor ever, even if you wern’t his patient

Dr. Bernard sees my mother. I find him to be caring, companionate and knowledgable. He is always available and willing to answer questions and make sure we understand what's happening.

Waited over 45 minutes to see the doctor in a cramped, uncomfortable waiting/exam room. He gave me a 5 minute exam, looked at a 2 year old MRI for 2 minutes answered a couple of my questions in a terse and unhelpful fashion for 3 minutes and said there was no surgical answer for my severe back and radiating leg pain. Then proceeded to charge me $475.00 for what he called an intermediate office visit! When I asked if he would send me to get another MRI he said no, that it wasn't necessary! What kind of a doctor bases his recommendations on 2 year old data! I would avoid seeing this doctor like the plague! Their billing practice is nothing short of the most horrible experience I have ever had, and I've had 10 surgeries in 8 years and hundreds of doctor visits with zero issues before this office! They don't accept credit card payments and are never available to take money from you in person. Wished I'd never seen him! After several depressing weeks later, I decided to see another surgeon. One last try. I saw Dr Kim Wright and was amazed. He is everything Dr Estrada Bernard isn't. He ordered a new MRI, was kind and helpful, has an amazing staff, was easy to pay, everything! And best of all, I had the lumbar surgery Dr Wright recommended and in a few short weeks I am feeling fantastic for the first time in many years! I am very glad I didn't listen to Dr Estrada Bernard!

Please do your health a favor, get a second opinion before seeing Bernard. He prescribes unnecessary treatment for bigger payout. Patient care is not his top priority, making money is.

By far one of the worst doctor's I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. He treated my benign brain tumor as if it were nothing after looking at my mri for about 30 seconds. He offered no help or treatment plan and sent me on my way for my condition to worsen. The staff was also less than helpful and very condescending. Do not see this doctor!

$750.00 per visit and WON'T Bill your insurance!!!!!!!! What a joke!!!! Thee most awful office staff ever, everything is a effort and wait till u get to the billing lady and the you will want to go across the top. Stay away from this outfit $$$$$$$ hungry

Dr. Bernard placed the spinal stimulation battery up too high in my body. It goes just under where my belt would be. Told them to do it lower and she even drew it on me. Still, when I wake up in the morning, the leg feels like it's going to give out on me and sometimes it does. Never saw the man after the surgery. He left staff to do all the dirty work. No nothing on when I am getting the sutures out, when I can shower, etc. He comes in before the surgery for a minute or so then nothing.

Absolutely great staff work hard to get me better. Including secretars nurse and Dr. I had work done on my back. I am not fully recovered but can already tell he has fixed me. Several people I have spoke have also had a very positive out come. He will be the Dr. That I will go back to if I have any more issues with my back. Wonderful Dr.

Dr. Bernard was good on the part he fixed. however,they missed the the main cause of my wifes pain. as soon as the surgery was over.... they were done with us. they didn't want to hear about her continued pain. plus she had a bad reaction to one of the medications she was given. they ended up telling me to take her to the emergency room. we asked to be set up with exercises and/or physical therapies, they said no, we don't do that. there was one follow up that went nowhere. all further phone calls were directed to the billing department. 5 years later, she is still in pain & we are searching for someone that gives a rip. oh yeah, they also damaged the nerves in her neck. it's still numb.... good luck if you roll the dice with these guys
