Dr. Batty is quite eccentric and can be very rude. If she has a good side I was never given a chance to see it. I went to her for help and she it was a very uncomfortable visit and I felt as if I was being interrogated. I wanted to switch and make her my new gastro Doctor. Because I didn't like my old one, he had recently did a endoscopy on me and I was all screwed up from it and was in a lot of pain. I had to give her my med history and she gave me some crappy options for tests and then said she was going to send me back to my old gastro. She decided she was not going to take me as a patient. She told the girl at the front desk to give me my co payment back and I told Dr. Batty don't even worrie about the test. I won't be going back to her.

I have an esophageal problem. This problem results with me in the ER with food lodged in my esophagus. Last trip to the ER She came into the room and quizzed me on why I haven't been in her office for followups, when none were suggested. I tried to move the conversation on so that I can get attention now, but she won't let it go and continues with "if you don't do exactly what I say then you can find a new doctor". I have never refused treatment or directives. BTW this is called "patient abandonment". In the past she would scope me and stretch the esophagus in the ER. She refused to do so at this visit. She removed the food and told me to remain on a liquid diet for 3weeks and follow up in her office on Mon. I went to the followup, lab work. 1week later back to the ER, again she didn't stretch told me to remain on the diet and start over with office visit.lab work. She wanted $$ but wouldn't treat me meanwhile. I switched dr.s diagnosed me correctly, been fine since. She is incompetent
