I had Dr. McConville for my first pregnancy. She was very kind, lovely to talk too, informative and knowledgeable. I found I was kind of left in a medical black hole by the end, she would send me to be induced, the hospital wouldn’t do it, my bp went crazy, I had every symptom of pre-e, they sent me in again, the hospital was on a weird night, and sent me home, I still to this day don’t even know what on earth happened, I’m going to guess I should have been more firm, and the hospital was at fault for the issues going untreated. Morale of the story, McCon is great, receptionist at the time was out to lunch and they really should have 2 for the volume and Ajax/Pic is an understaffed/not great hospital.

I chose Dr. McConville as by ObGyn for my first baby based on her rating here on RateMDs, I couldn't be happier with my decision. She's knowledgeable, respects and supports my decisions and answers every question I have respectfully and thoroughly. The nurse and administrator are also super nice and helpful and answer any questions I have for them. Only once have I had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes and everyone was super apologetic. I've been to 10+ appointments so far.

my first 2 appts I had with her were good, but hershe changed once she decided to close my file, thinking I was not lucrative enough for her. Decided since I cannot make up my mind with the options she gave me, to close my file. Went back to my GP, and asked around and found out I had another option not told by her, since she does not perform the procedure. Called back and asked to see her since I waited many months for an appointment to see her, that I need to have this procedure and can she recommend a colleague if she is unable to do it. The one lady staff, was rude, ., clearly can’t handle stress or a busy day of calls, says they are too busy to talk to you, are we not busy too, we are taking the time to call in, we should be treated with respect we deserve. I have told them I am going to report my case My GP was shocked she closed my file, when I had to go back immediately to ask my GP find another OBGYN, make an appointment'

I absolutely loved Dr. McConville. I don't understand some of the other reviews as I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to see her and I have never seen any member of her staff being rude, negligent or impatient with anyone ever. This was my first child and I felt that Dr. McConville was very compassionate, knowledgeable and helpful and I will definitely be coming back to her if/when I am having my second child. I have nothing but good things to say about her and her staff and would recommend her 100%.

I was referred to this doctor by my midwife for some stitching post-baby. She saw me and said she would do it but I held off given I had a new baby and couldn't risk being off my feet. Two years later she agreed again but said she wanted a second opinion by her colleague a plastic surgeon. She said she was confident he would take my case and he could do a more precise job. The plastic surgeon refused to take my case. He was unwilling, admitted he could do it but he felt he didn't need to do and sent me back to Dr. McConville. She now also refused to do the stitching herself, saying she didn't feel comfortable since her colleague wouldn't do it and since she didn't deliver my baby anyhow. The staff is lovely but wait time is usually an hour after your appointment. She is kind and approachable but she didn't treat me in the end. Lots of wasted time and money for time off work. If you have no affiliation, no need to see her specifically. Kindness is useless if you don't get treated.

I can't say enough good things about Dr McConville. She has a wonderful bedside manner, is always on time for my appointments with her, extremely caring and compassionate, and very knowledgable. I have pregnancy induced high blood pressure and he has taken exceptional care of me and my baby. I feel very comfortable with her and trust her 100% as my OB. I am fortunate to be her patient. Office staff is also absolutely wonderful.

Great Doctor! I didn't have Dr Mcconville as my O/B however she was the doctor that was on call that induced me. I found her very respectful and very professional. Even though I didn't spend 9 months with her she made me feel like I was one of her patients all along and made me feel very confortable. I am now pregnant again with my second child and will be requesting Dr Mcconville to be our O/B :) Nothing but great things to say about this fantastic person/doctor.

She is a fantastic doctor and I look forward to my appointments with her. However her staff need some work. Dr. Fiona is on holidays so they booked me with another Dr. but neglected to tell me about it until the day before when I was away from the office (they left a voicemail). Meanwhile, I had been calling them every day for the past week to find out what was going on. The other Dr.'s office told me they had scheduled my appointment at last week. And now Dr. Fiona's voicemail inbox is full so I can't even tell them what happened and how upset I am about this. I'm very frustrated with missing my appointment due to scheduling screw ups.

Dr. McConville has been a fantastic OB through my first pregnancy. When telehealth told me to go to the hospital due to some odd symptoms, she was actually on call and was able to calm me down quickly, and did extensive testing to ensure I was OK. The appointments go well, and every concern is covered and taken note of. There has been some scheduling confusion, but they always make the situation right, and it has been wonderful being under her care. I would and HAVE recommended her to many family, friends and even random pregnant people I meet! She is all kinds of wonderful.
