I came to see Dr. Garcia as a new patient(I didn't bother to read the reviews) and she was the most personable, caring person I could ever hope to meet..
Her diagnosis was dead on correct(shingles) and she made sure that I was prescribed the right meds.

I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE GOING TO THIS OFFICE. THE PHYSICIAN WAS VERY RUDE, UNPLEASANT, AND KEEP ON MAKING FACES. I CAME WITH A SIMPLE ALLERGY AND WHEN I USED THE PRESCRIPTION SHE GAVE ME, MY WHOLE FACE GOT ALL RED AND ITCHY. I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK FOR NO CHARGE, AND MONTHS AFTER.. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM A DEBT COLLECTOR SAYING I OWE THEM! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TROUBLE AND NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE.

I went to see Dr. Garcia for 2 things - 1 for an annual mole check and 2, to see if she could determine why my hair seems to be falling out at a rapid pace. First, I thought it was completely bizarre and inappropriate that she had not 1, but 3 (!!!) assistants in the room with her while she did my fully nude mole check without even bothering to tell me why or introducing me or anything. SO AWKWARD and such poor bedside manner. Next, the mole check was pitiful. I am very fair with many moles and she looked at me for all of about 30 seconds telling me I'm fine (I probably am, but a more thorough check was definitely in order, esp since I have had to have multiple pre-cancerous moles removed in the past, which she knew). She couldn't tell me a thing about my hair. And, to top it all off, her staff are not what I would call polite or the sharpest tools in the shed. Quite unhelpful and rude. Will never return. TERRIBLE experience.

I scheduled an appointment for 9:40. I arrived at 9:30 to make sure that there was no problem with paperwork, insurance, etc. At 10:20 (40 minutes after my scheduled appointment), I asked the receptonist if she knew how much longer it would be. She very shortly and rudely said there was no way to tell - they were just really busy this morning. When I suggested that they control how many appointments are made each day and are responsible for the wait time, her response was "stuff happens". I sat for another 15 minutes and watched 3 patients be taken who had arrived at least 1/2 hour after I did, I realized that I did not want to waste any more of my time and left. Will definitiely not be going back there.

After reading these comments about Dr Carmen Garcia I was hesitant to make an appt. I did make my appt. and must say I was really happy that I did. Dr Garcia was personable, competent and answered all my questions. It's hard to find a dermatologist that handles medical problems, they're all into the botox and fillers. It's so refreshing to have a knowledgable doctor to take care of my medical problems. I highly recommend her as an expert dermatologist.

I saw Dr. Garcia a few years ago for a skin check and a bump that appeared on my face. I asked for her to do a biopsy and she told me it wasn't necessary because it "looks normal" I recently went to a new dermatologist who did a biopsy on this " normal bump" and it turned out to be skin cancer.

I like Dr Garcia because out of All dermatology Dr I went , she was the only one to do a biopsy on a mole that I have on my toe which it needed to be remove, when I went back for my check up to Rutherford and found out she was not there , I ask where she was working , they told me Paramus , I came to see her, I like Dr Garcia because she take her time checking the whole body making sure everything is ok. The staff on this office is nice.
