We have been going to him for years . He takes his time to listen and make a diagnosis and follow up. Also, he and his staff are very personable and caring!

I've been a patient of Dr Malek for 5 years now.
I'm very satisfied with all of things about him, myself going through numerous issues he has helped resolve.
Of course as a patient, it helps tremendously if one comes prepared for my visit with pertinent info regarding my visit.
I've recommended Dr Malek to family, friends and acquaintances a few times now.

Terrible, no regard for women's health, doesn't listen to my concerns and when presenting my health problems, I have been told it's in my head, you're over reacting and going on birth control pill is the only solution. I have problem with my ears, lots of pressure in my neck and dizzy spells, heart palpitations, extremely painful and heavy periods...he wouldn't ever look at a full panel for vitamin deficiencies, put me under the knife before drawing blood, couldn't believe me when I did my own research to find out I was b12 deficient... never looked further into why??? But could tell me I'm far too young to have B12 deficiency. The list goes on and on. When I asked to be referred to an ear specialist and endocrinologist or a gynecologist... he would just say, oh you have tinnitus, PMS is normal and would never refer me... literally would diagnose me with "something" he just thought of without proper testing and research. At the end of it all, he asked me why do I think I always have something wrong with me... yet, I would maybe see him every 3 years. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS DOCTOR!!! Especially if you are female. I can't even believe he's still in practice with his mindset. I thank God everyday that I was able to find another doctor and transfer out from Wafik France Abdel Malek. He's lucky to have such lovely ladies working for him at the front desk and I was lucky to be supported by them!!

THIS CLINIC AND DR. MALEK IGNORED MY PLEAS FOR HELP AND SENT ME HOME IN LIFE THREATENING CONDITION. I originally went to Alpha Care Medical Centre as a walk in and saw another doctor at the clinic who ordered urgent/rushed blood work for same day results and told me to keep my phone on loud for further instructions. I never received the results or a follow up call. I called the clinic three times a day for the next two days. The staff were very unhelpful, dismissed my pleas for help and would not follow up with the lab for my blood results when I asked. I explained multiple times my results were supposed to be back days ago and ended up crying on the phone because I was feeling so unwell. The staff still would not follow up on my results. The next day I decided to physically go into AlphaCare Medical Centre and refuse to leave until they followed up on my results. The staff finally agreed to call and follow up and the results were immediately faxed over. That is when I saw Dr. Malek. Dr. Malek read my blood work and said I had the highest A1C and blood glucose he had ever seen and there was no doubt in his mind that I had diabetes. He then proceeded to tell me he did not have time to help me and that I should try to see my family doctor when I could. Lucky, I was able to get an appointment with my family doctor the next day. My family doctor took one look at my blood work and immediately sent me to the emergency room. At the hospital I was diagnosed with type one diabetes and admitted for four days as I was in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a life threatening condition! I was on four different IVs during my hospital stay and when I was discharged I couldn't even walk. Dr. Malek wrongfully sent me home for an extra 24 hours during which I could have died! This is after I had to wait three days for results because his staff refused to follow up on my urgent blood work! There is absolutely no excuse for the clinic and Dr. Malek's ignorance and lack of empathy. Dr. Malek had all the information needed to make an informed decision about my care. He had my blood results and I clearly communicated symptoms of DKA. I also pleaded for him to help even after he told me he was too busy to do so. The care I received from Dr. Malek was completely unacceptable and almost cost me my life.

Dr Malek has been my doctor for 3 years - I felt comfortable with him immediately- he has a good sense of humour which in my opinion, is important. He’s very empathetic and listens without judgment. He calms me down when I worry which is also important.

I was on a wait list for Dr Malek and finally met with him today. I am excited to start this new journey with him as my family Dr. I did not hesitate to register, I’ve met with other Drs on my quest to find a new one and was so impressed with his professionalism as well has his patience and empathy which is exactly what I need right now. He takes the time to truly understand what you need.

Dr. Malek is great. Has been taking care of my family over 10 years. Understandably sometimes he runs late, however with the government requesting more from our doctors, it does make it difficult for timing. Plus because he takes the time to have a conversation and find out what is wrong, it takes time. He can be difficult to get an apt with however if you call him for an urgent matter especially for my kids, the front receptionist always works to accommodate!
