Dr Daiter helped me 3 times, twice Rapid detox and then when Suboxone came into the market I was one of the first candidates. I dont care what negative comments that there are on here about him, theyre all angry lies out of anger and frustration. He saved my life 3 times and i kept messing up being prescribed oxycontin. He's in it for the money unfortunately. He's very knowledgeable about addiction medicine and sleep medicine, but money is more important than patient care. If this changes, he could be a superb doctor. If it doesn't every person who sees him will have the same comments that I do. Sorry Dr. Daiter, but that is truth and sometimes that truth hurts. If you want this to change then you will have to change the way you see patients. Three minutes per patient and a quick question "Do you want to go up or stay at your current dose" is just not enough. Ontarians who see him get short changed, not because he isn't capable, but because he is more interested in making dough over getting the patients well again. The ball is in your court Dr. Daiter. My question for you is what are you going to do about it?

I, Martin Webster, being one of Dr Daiter's very first patients for Methadone treatment in 1995/96. I stress "DR JEFF DAITER" not DR Vanderbault, as I have no personal experience with him and thus I am unqualified to coment or otherwise speak to his actions, can well speak as to Dr Daiter's actions. And will ! In my many years of experience with everything to do with drugs and opiate addiction. As well as a fair knowlage of G.P. Treatment involving addiction and non-addiction treatment, have never before nor after my having met DR. DAITER received the level of professionalism, the genuine care and concern for my well being both physically and mentally. Though in early phase of methadone treatment in Ontario and being one of the first to take the step into said treatment thus with few to take note from, Dr DAITER or Jeff, ALWAYS went ABOVE AND BEOND what was required of him without EVER falling astray from the strict guidelines for said treatment. He was dedicated to the commitment he made to treat those in need with this relatively new (to Ontario) and contiversal treatment. I shall forever be thankful for his treatment involving myself and will say with utter humility; "I am the better man for having ever met Dr. Jeff Daiter" I have great respect for him both as a physician and as a human being.
Sincerely: Martin R. Webster

Folks, we're addicts. We are intolerant and demanding, but we need the help they provide. I found Dr. Daiter and his staff are committed to improving my life. I am thankful i have this no matter what my complaints are. I will tolerate any minor issues, life would be HE77 without this program. They should be applauded for their commitment to us, my life is much better now.

This has to be the worst doctor ever... no follow up, not following OHIP guidelines (I discovered this after the treatment) he doesn‘t follow up with his patients.... some of us on the program have been addicted to methadone for over 4 years, and does not demand the screening tests that are mandated by the program (like urine drug tests) so there is a lot of his patients here in NorthernOntario that are addicted to the methadone AND still using Oxys and abusing street drugs. There must be a better doctor or better program to help us.... the staff at the clinic is very courteous and nice people, but it‘s managed as a BIG MONEY TRAIN I for Daiter, if you ask me(no qualified staff on hand, very rare teleconference follow-ups...

I am writing this because I absaouelty frusterated with the staff at the new location (Collingwood). I have been clean for nearly a year now , and have been attending their clinic for at minum 6 month's now. I am on level 6, and have all my carrie's! I also attend my own drug counceling, I have asked on numirous account's of time's if I could change from having to see O.A.T.C Drug Councler, and have my addiciton councler ask all the question's that they need asked.... And she would respond , no problem. I find that O.A.T.C Addiction Counceler, doesn't have a good technique. I didn't feel comfortable at all!! I don't think that I should be forced to go to these appiontment's! And that's basically what it feel's like , when they are with holding my script from me, the only way I get it is if I show up to my appointment! When I already go to my own councler , and she is willing to write report's!!! THIS IS ONE OF 3 ISSUE'S , I HAVE!!

Jeff was always fair and listened. He was usually open to the complex other health issues I had to deal with. I believe he has the addicts best interests at heart. Whatever issues I might have with Suboxone there is no doubt he was working in my best interests. This is a complex situation. Be honest and follow the rules as best you can and he will do right by you.

Ive wrote five letters to this doctor to inform him of the level of care im receiving at one of his oatc clinics. no reply , the doctors who work for him use holding back your methadone as a threat. if you have any complaint they punish you and hold back your methadone. he doesnt care or he would let people on the program contact him ive been on it for five years , every week , they make me jump through hoops, hes no better then you average low life drug dealer you'd find on the street . Im so frustrated by the treatment I receive I break down everytime I have to go there. nobody that works for him is every held accountable for their actions. He doesnt care about you needing to work all he cares about is how much money he makes from you. they change your appts and dont tell you. They seem to think everyone on this program is on welfare, harm reduction I dont think so.Big bank account for Dr Daiter of course . Making million threating his patients, just like a scum bag drug dealer do

I have paid with losing a huge part of my life in a methadone fog!Never ever offered any help to come down on my dosage.NOBODY IS HELPED OFF OF THE METHADONE BY DOCTOR DAITER!In the beginning he helps by getting you off opiates but your always incouraged to go up,up,up on your dose.Luckily the collage has cracked down on him lately, putting somewhat of a limit on how high he can take you.Nobody needs to be put on 300mls of methadone for any reason.Dr. Daiter puts you on methadone and has absolutely NO INTENTIONS of taking you off! He's become a multi millionaire from keeping people addicted to a stronger drug then the one they originally sought help for.You have to pester the O.A.T.C to wean down and do it yourself or you'll serve a LIFE SENTENCE in liquid handcuffs. If you don't want a lifetime of constantly running to clinics, urine samples, weight gain, profusely sweating,no ambition,no sex drive and no respect then take back control of your life from Doctor daiter! He's all $$$$
