I did not appreciate his office manner. He dug into my eye with his finger and caused a lot of pain. I refuse to see him again.

My wife, SAIDA KHATRI has been Dr Samiy’s patient. We have been visiting Rock Hill clinic for last 4 years. I want to share my appreciation with your staff. One thing especially stands out is your regiment to stay on schedule. I do visit other clinics for routine check ups. Your staff bands backward (especially Sonia) to stay on scheduled appointment time. I want to congratulate your entire team for this discipline and thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a wonderful support.

Like others I have found him preoccupied and with little time to discuss my issue. 4 weeks prior to my visit I had blood work done that he had requested, he had the results 3 weeks prior to my visit. He didn't look at the results for the first time until I brought them up during the appointment. He is willing to monitor my issue every 6 weeks, I'm going for a second opinion somewhere else.

I give this Doctor excellent ratings for my care and handling both he and Dr. Tucker handled multiple detachments in my eyes. The were professional and on top of their game. Reading the other comments below I can understand the unwarranted frustrations. These doctors are seeing many cases in a day. They do their absolute best to zero in on the details and have to apportion their time accordingly. Some people perceive this as uncaring, that is far from the truth.
In Dr. Samiy's case, he not only came in on a major holiday and personally opened his office just for me, he did an emergency procedure to stabilize my detachment. He further provided his personal cell phone number and advised me to call if conditions changed. Unfortunately changes did occur which involved intervention. In every case and there were 3, he made room in his schedule and addressed my issue. Without his follow up and diligence I may have lost my site. I'm grateful to him, Dr Tucker and his staff.

DR. Samiy did macular hole surgery on both my eyes and I was very pleased I can now see without glasses before I was almost blind .

With all honesty, I felt Dr. Samiy was rude, rushed, not very compassionate at all. I took my 80 year old mother there for macular degeneration. He was very nonchalant about everything. I hope and pray that if I ever have to see an eye specialist, it definitely will not be Dr, Samiy!

I went to this doctor a year ago, sent by an optometrist. He basically laughed at my potential diagnosis, stating I "have a floater which would be gone in a few months". Well here I am a year later, going to MULTIPLE doctor appointments in weeks, 3 different doctors, to find out that my original potential diagnosis was in fact correct, (which Dr. Samiy told me it wasn't). I am rushing around trying to get my medications to hopefully keep the majority of my eyesight. He was not very friendly, spoke in a non-understanding way. I would never recommend this office or doctor to anyone. Not to mention when I tried getting in with them round two, the front desk person didn't find my issue as important as the new optometrist made it. So I just now would have my appointment, when I have been on meds for 3 weeks now thanks to my new physician. This is my eyesight, not something to play with.

I give Dr. Samiy my highest recommendation. His skill and professionalism, ability to act quickly, and his care gave me complete confidence after developing a retinal detachment. I am grateful to him for his work. I am a doctor myself, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone
