Following my cataract surgery with Dr Davies I find out that wrong lens used as an implant I i opened my eye with rainy flutters and vision problems right the day after surgery, saw my retina specialist and he said rainy flutters caused by lot of pressure on eye during surgery but Dr Davies blamed my vision issue to dryness it took him 3 months to realize about his mistake and offered me replace the lens but he did not know what type of lens to use, he came with an idea to fly to Arizona consult one his colleagues to find out about new lens, when I called his colleague in Arizona he was retired I lost my confidence in him.
I am a San Diego resident close to the well known eye centers (Shirley Eye Institute) at UC and Scripps never understood the reason of flying to Arizona and meet his colleague that was retired.
I consulted with many experts at Shiley Eye sure and other places in San Diego sure enough 3 doctors told me not to go through any more operation on that eye due to risk of cornia transplants. Dr Davies was aware of my previous RK and he assured me that LAL lens was the best option lens as a result of his mistake I became legally blind at night and my vision is blurry, foggy and doubled during the day he ruined my vision by this expensive LAL lens implant.
This expensiveLAL lens is not covered by insurance and is not for everyone according to many studies i wish I knew that prior and did not do trust what told me.
I was so frustrated from surgery outcome and out of pocket expenses decided to for the refund a week later received an email from his attorney that Dr Davies willing to pay $4,000 but I have to release him from any liability that was awful he caused a permanent damage to my eye and ask me to release him from liability, this is a shameful request.

There are ugly people inside and out. The office manager is the prime example. Rude, nasty, repulsive... Insurance is active yet she demands in a loud bossy voice interrupting examunation. Joann is nasty and guard dog giving false information. Technician keeps insulting with improper and incomplete examination forgetting trsts. Using absurd phrases like climb on chair... Who climbs on a regular office chair? They confuse between real old patient and relatives who sound same on the telephone! Without any basis the repugnant manager tells and writes threatening letters yet bills the insurance for the complete unsatisfactory service. This undereducated character cannot even address the patient with the proper title and is disrespectful big bully in a true sense.Who wants to see her if she is confused between the real patient who is almost blind with the relatives of the patient. We will not allow our relative to ever enter this office so Sheri the bully and rude Jidi, Joann do not need to worry. Learn from Becky, Patty, Maybeline, Akana, and great Dr. Foster and Dr. Davies some manners who are very pleasant and nice.

Office staff is rude and unprofessional. The Asian technician, flat chested, with bulging abdomen, flat side nose.. Description is given for identification. She kept laughing and insulting my friend. She is incompetent. The staff Jody and Sheri were just concerned about money, Alana technician is confused and does not know the right answers. Jody at front desk is snappy and rude even if you pay cash.

My elderly Mother went to this office looking to get her vision corrected from far sighted, her reading and close up vision was awesome. The office made a mistake on the paperwork and my mother ended up getting the wrong surgery. They made her reading and up close was ruined. She had to go back for another surgery to correct the mistake they did. Her vision is basically shot now. She is pretty upset with the office, they have been rude to her ever since, I would avoid this office,

I was referred to Dr Davies by a friend whom I trust very much. I had been putting off eye surgery for years because the thought scared me so much. She assured me that I would be in good hands, and she was RIGHT! My experience from start to finish was amazing and I highly recommend Dr Davies and his staff.

He diagnosed my problem quickly and the treatment worked right away. I like that the office wasn't a huge factory like some are.
