After I had six failed spine surgeries, in Meadville Pa, my Dr sent me to Dr Okonkwo. Yes I sat waiting for 5 hours past my appointment while he was doing emergency surgery to save a person's life. . It took two more surgeries for him to straighten out the mess that I was in but, I thank God for Dr Okonkwo and his staff, they are truly some of !the best in the world If he can't fix it, it can't be fixed

Awful. Said my other serious health problems were a “lame excuse” for not being able to lose weight. I’m traumatized. He refused to listen to me about my Ehlers Danlos syndrome or discuss with my geneticist what she recommended. She is an Ehlers Danlos specialist!

Horrible experience, front office was terrible as if they were the doctor. Okonkwo was very condescending and having back issues and pain but he insists there's nothing wrong.

Dr. Okonkwo did back surgery for me in 2011. Surgery was supposed to reduce pain. after surgery I had 10 times more pain. Dr. Okonkwo saw me for a year after surgery. At times he even became angry with me, because I am still in pain. He actually blamed me for the increase in my pain. Finally he pushed me off to the UPMC Pain Clinic, which has not been able to reduce the pain the Dr. Okonkwo created. I would not recommend Dr. Okonkwo.
