Delivered my second child. From first prenatal visit to the delivery... One of the worst experiences of my life. Steer clear of this doctor.

Dr. Martin delivered both of my babies and she is very personable a great OBGYN. Although she runs a busy practice, she always addressed my concerns.

Took my daughter to see a Dr. Martin today as a request by my daughter to see a woman doctor. Even thought I have been a patient of Dr. Batty's, he actually delivered my daughter sixteen years ago. My daughter was nervous. Didn't even look at me or formally introduce herself in a professional manor if I talked she looked at me as if I was not there and shouldn't be there. This was the first appointment at an OB/GYN for my daughter ever! She could have said, "Hello, you must be _____'s Mother we will talk and have a quick exam and I would have said fine gotten an 'OK' look from my daughter and left the room. That was our plan. I stayed thinking is this professional woman going to look me in the eye or what? She was stuck up! Acted like she knew my daughter better than I did. We will not be coming back to you and I recommend you to no one!!Dr. Martin, not everyone is comfortable with seeing an GYN for the first time and may want to take along their Mother's, rethink your bedside manner!

Im very frustrated with this doctor!! I am pregnant with my 4th child and im over 40 with a lot of health risks and concerns. I am considered high risk. Everytime I go for my ob check, she sighs really loud and I heard her behind the door say, " oh, great!!". She seems to get frustrated every single time I am there. I have never had a doctor that cares so little about my health or well being of myself or my baby. She never measures my stomach or tells me anything about how my baby is doing. I have to read books to learn anything about this pregnancy. I am so far into my pregancy that my husband says its to late to switch. This will be my final baby and it really hasnt been an enjoyable pregnancy because of how she makes me feel. As soon as my baby is born, im leaving for good.

Dr. Martin delivered all 3 of my babies. No, I have never seen her "on-time" and have been angry (very ) at this when it passes the 30 min. mark, which has happened many times. Every time she's been late there has been a good reason - I just wish they'd call to let you know they are running behind so that you can "run behind" as well, not just SIT there getting mad. Dr. Martin is very knowledgable, always in a hurry, but I have never felt that she wasn't listening to me - or that she wasn't taking TIME with me. You need to be prepared with your questions so that you can best utilize your time - she deserves that as well as the other patients waiting for her. I highly recommend her to ALL my friends and colleagues. I trust her. I've been seeing her for the last 16 years.

The few times I went in to see the Doctor my wait was atleast an hour, once it was 2 hours. She checked her watch numerous times while talking to me and her nurse was rude. She was knowledgable but she needs to work on her bedside manner.

I like Dr. Martin a lot. She was very easy to talk to an anwers all of my questions while in the office. I was not happy with Johnson County OBGYN. There is no way to talk to the Dr. unless you have an appt. If you have a question you leave a message for the nurse, nurse asks the doctor, and nurse calls you back. Very unhappy with this you don't know if you questions were fully explained to the Dr. or if the nurse is giving all of the information on the phone.

Dr. Martin is the very worst doctor I've ever had to work with! I waited on average an hour to see her EVERY time, no matter what day or time of the day I scheduled my visit. She never wanted to listen and was always in a hurry to see someone else...even after I waited that long. She was not helpful during my entire pregnancy, but I was too close to delivery to transfer drs. She didn't even deliver my baby anyway. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Melanie Martin for any type of medical care!!!!

Dr martin saved my life. I had PPCM and would have died had she not sent me to the ER knowing something was wrong when I called in with the symptoms I was having. She is very laid back, always answered my questions and was awesome during delivery. She is very kind and understanding and knowledgeable. I always feel comfortable with her. She tries to deliver her own ob patients, which is a rare thing these days. I feel comfortable referring anyone to her. She is the best in my opinion!!
