He put in feeding tubes for me for my crohns and was excellent at doing so :)

It's going on 2 years now since I have had "Dr. Marcel' as he is affectionately known locally. With each visit, the comfort level between doctor/patient increases. I was a bit reluctant initially to change doctors, but had no choice since my 'former' G.P. was coasting into

retirement and it sometimes took more than 3 months to get an appointment. I do have special medical needs so this prolonged wait time was not answering my needs.
Dr. Au Coin has a 'patient centered' approach and is a proactive advocate for me. He listens


carefully, seeks clarification when necessary, encourages feedback, explains things and gives options. He is confident without being arrogant but is not too proud to seek out specialist help when he is unsure of a diagnosis. He has referred me to 2 specialists (most recently for a hernia) which could have complicating factors, and I had an appointment within 4 days!!!

And YES, he returns phone calls!! Bravo!

Have only seen him a few times for my kids. Ordered tests that weren't really necessary.

Marcel is a young doctor who has chosen to come back to his native community. He is very knowlegable on all aspects of family medecine and always has the patient's well being at the forefront of his treatment.

Good Doctor but it requires persistance to get him to reveal medical information.
