Dr. Gregory L. Borah DMD, MD is an absolute butcher of a plastic surgeon when it comes to performing rhinoplasties (nose jobs). I beg you, do not let him handle your rhinoplasty/nose job. I speak from personal experience as a former rhinoplasty patient of his. After his procedure, which was done years ago now, my nostrils are asymmetrical and one of them is even comically large (no exaggeration). When viewed from the side they make me look like I have large, constantly flared (and asymmetrical) nostrils. This was not the case before the surgery. Now, I ALSO have a significantly large asymmetrical indentation in my nose cartilage that looks like a fault line that is visible to the naked eye and is at least a square centimeter in its dimensions. The tip of the nose (as seen from head on) is truly and utterly bulbous now and is now completely unnatural looking (no exaggeration). For example, he made the bridge of my nose WAY too wide and the tip WAY too wide AND unnaturally high. The nose straightening work that I asked to be done in my meeting with Dr. Borah before my surgery is also INCOMPLETE and it looks as if the crookedness that was present in my pre-surgery nose still remains as the bridge of my nose is still curved. Dr. Gregory Borah is a disgrace to plastic surgeons when it comes to performing rhinoplasties. As far as his bedside manner is concerned it was not professional when I consulted with him pre-surgery. When I told him that I wanted specific work done he actually told me "You'll get the nose you get". I should have taken that as a big red flag right there and left his office right then to find another plastic surgeon. It cost at least $5,000 for the procedure and THAT was the bedside manner he showed his prospective patient? Very unprofessional in hindsight. Dr. Borah also did not present me with any portfolio of his previous rhinoplasty work which is something that every prospective rhinoplasty patient should demand of any surgeon who would be doing work on him or her. As a result of Dr. Borah's horrendous rhinoplasty I have been made fun of by my brother and sister one of which even called me “putty nose” (as awful as that sounds) drawing the comparison between my nose job and putty (if the rest of what I've said hasn't given you an idea of what my nose looks like as the result of Dr. Borah's surgery). If this is what my own family thinks of my nose I can only imagine what people in general must think of my nose job. Please, if you're considering a rhinoplasty/nose job, don't use Doctor Gregory L. Borah for it. Consult more than one plastic surgeon if you have to. DO ask to see a portfolio of the plastic surgeon's previous work. Don't just look at a plastic surgeon's academic credentials – they're simply not enough to go on when it comes to choosing a plastic/cosmetic surgeon which is why you should ALWAYS ask to see a portfolio. During your consultation, make sure your plastic surgeon is committed to giving you the nose that YOU want and that he/she doesn't have the “you'll get the nose you get” mentality that Dr. Gregory L. Borah had with me. If I can inform even one prospective rhinoplasty/nose job patient about this doctor then this review will not have been in vain.
