Nearly a 2 hour wait. Intake staff was rude and not very compassionate. I should have realized that he was a radiologist, not a family medicine specialist so his diagnostic skills are terrible. Two visits to diagnose a UTI, finally gave me the right antibiotic. He and his staff should familiarize themselves with infection control techniques like HAND WASHING. My fourth graders know better. His wife is a pit bull if you complain about anything. Doing a little research, I have discovered that Dr Merrihew has been disciplined for narcotic issues, has had a cocaine habit and a gives generous narcotic scripts to certain people. Good grief, he shouldn’t be practicing! I’ll never go to Convenient Care again.

This Dr. is a criminal. After four years of care after the va denied me csre, he sent records without my consent to the va. When I learned of this he only sent records up to 2010. He covered for a bad Dr in the va who misdiagnosed me. Merrier had x-rays proving the dr Krasinski missed a severe sinus infection but will not give the x-rays to me. In trying to get my records from 2010 to 2014 he has ignored two certified letters for my records, several phone calls and even a lawyer from MA who I asked to ask them for thrm. He covered for a bad Dr in the va but that's not the whole story. He got extremely angry at my wife and I during a visit as one of his staff members heats me complaining about him washing his hands, which on many occasions I have seen him go from one patient room to another repeatedly without washing his hands. I said to him once "is that how you get repeat business?". He actually snickered and laughed at me. I do believe he knows that he is indeed getting people intentionally sick by this dirty practice. I do plan on filing a complaint with I pro for his concealing documents, which is a felony under the federal records act. His wife Peggy is about as rude as a person could be. I also had an ex for Valium for about three years with him which requires a monthly appt. On many occasions I witnesses her yelling at people, belittling them and insulting them. The revenge I'd a dr,who all of a sudden doesn't like you anymore because you were critical of his hand washing habits has been devastating . I am still fighting with the VA to get the record straight. Although I don't have the records for over three years of care I do have the printouts from Walmart of the rx's filled for the missing years. He is a very nice person to your face but if things go wrong he becomes a vicious vindictive person. Very short in height he also has a Napoleon complex and is very egotistical. In short, he is a bad person and not a very clean dr. With his bad hand washing habits I'm sure he has gotten a lot of people suck, only to return to him for rx's of antibiotics. The reason I was so focused on his hygienic habits was because I use to do seminars for nurses on the prevention a spreading nosocomical infections to others from improper hand washing between patients. He is kinda a dirty pig as far as a dr. goes. It's just that that is the first thing that comes to mind as I remember him going from dressing a wound on a patient and going directly to another patient w/o washing his hands. So grose.

The wait is long because Dr. Merrihew spends quality time with each patient. You can tell he genuinely cares about each person he treats. He's the only doctor I've ever been to who has given me his personal email address and cell phone number in case I need anything. Now that's quality care!

I was made to wait for over 2 hours and they make you pay the co-pay ahead of time. The staff was rude and uncaring, and so was he when I finally saw him for 5 minutes. He just chucked some old samples at me without ANY info on them whatsoever and with no regard to any possible allergies or interactions with other medications whatsoever. I had also been in there for a later-diagnosed as viral infection and he doled out a month's worth of expired antibiotics to me.

been there 6 times for numerous injuries and consultations... shortest wait time in waiting room was 1 hour 23 minutes.. longest was 2 hours.. i would go out into nurse area and ask what problem was, to no avail.. then when back in room, the nurses/staff would talk about how they arent supposed to worry about me and that i interrupted their "snack time".. what? im a patient.. wheres the doctor?.. very unprofessional.. i waited over an hour to get a prescription refill.. doctor does care, very sympathetic and emotional over everything, but extremely lapse in terms of patient's needs.. comes in room, probably for at most 10 minutes.. then gone, exam over, come back next week for follow up and sit in same room for another 2 hours.. and staff will lose or misplace your file, forget to call you with updates, information, etc.. and then blame you for their mistakes.. sit in the waiting room and listen through ultrathin walls.. you can here them speakerphone chatting with their children..sad

Dr Merrihew is always helpful and is like a bulldog on your case until he finds the problem. He is usually late because he spends so much quality time with each patient. A great human being. I trust him completely.
