I'm sad that Dr. Carew retired. I appreciated his service throughout the years.

Does NOT listen to patients concerns or questions, speaks over you when he does not agree. Horrible bedside manner, always in a rush to get you out. I'd move to a new doctor in a second but you can not get a new doctor in Whitehorse. Screwed up on two of my family members - they both ended up with CANCER. He can be running behind by 1/2 an hour but don't you dare be late, he'll let you know. He needs to retire or go back to his first profession, engineering. I try to go to the doctor when he has a locum.

I have had this dr for 20 years and in the last 3 years have found him to be quite inept with anything or any questions asked. This week finally brought out the total no caring attitude from him and his staff. A simple request for a dr order to homecare and the rudeness of the staff in his clinic, especially by the office manager Carla has made me seriously consider managing my only health care by using the ermergency at the hospital only. Better to have to wait for care than show up for an appt where no care is given anyway. This is a clinic that you need to stay away from if looking for a dr in Whitehorse

His inability to listen to any feedback and arrogance led to my hospitalization. He should be disbarred.

Must just be there for the pay cheque because he obviously hates his job.

Has been my physician for years and is very compitent in his profession. He has man patients to care for and as such can seemed rushed at times but at the end of the day he provides the medical care needed to diagnose and treat his patients.

I am a well known community ambassador. This guy has been my family doctor for my whole life and still cant remember my name or anything about me. He's also arrogant and unhelpful.

I can understand some of the negative comments about Dr. Carew. He has been my GP for over 15 years. He surely can be irritable and he can appear condescending, though I'm not sure he means to be. Over the years though, we had built a reasonably good working relationship. I have always been confident of his diligence and commitment to quality care. Then, over the past year, as I've struggled with quite serious health issues, he has really come through for me in every way possible. At this point I am so grateful he is my GP, and very much appreciate his compassion and careful competence.

Poor. Know knowledge of patient history in memory, good thing for the computer. When to him "why are you here?" Ahhhh cause you told me to come back for follow up. Hostile, not friendly, seems rushed and very forgetful. "Ahh I never diagnosed you with this?" "Oh apparently I did do so" I would switch doctors in a heartbeat, but welcome to the Yukon. Not personality at all, rash, ubrupt, flippant, almost always in panic mode. Condescending and very judgemental. He was good at one time, but now seems as a patient to be a bother, then a client. I'd rather wait hours sitting in Emerg. or going to other walk ins for medical help.
