The office is old and dirty. The staff is rude and not at all helpful. Dr. Cohn is not a very good listener, and answers questions briefly without any real explanations.

I loved the office the staff was great, and they even have a fantastic center for medical weight loss now. I started with her as my doctor and i have already lost 25 pounds in just 8 weeks. Gabriela the weight loss specialist is the best.

I agree with the previous post on all accounts. I was overbilled as well, and waited over an hour and 45 in the waiting room (with an appointment) and another half hour in the exam room. If you have been waiting in the waiting room for a long time, they put you in the hallway in front of an occupied exam room to wait. When I switched doctors, they requested my records from Dr. Gelwasser. They are still waiting, three months later. When I discovered I was overbilled (I paid out of pocket because my company has a health savings account,) I contacted the office numerous times. My insurance company even sent a letter requesting the refund and received no response. I am still waiting for my refund eight months later. Do not go to this doctor.

Dr. Cohn-Gelwasser was overbearing and didn't listen. She demanded I take a prescription (nearly every item in the office has a drug brand name on it) when good health advice would have been more appropriate. Even with appointments, I sat for 3 - 4 hours in the waiting room and another hour in an examining room. This happened every time I went there. Records aren't kept private or safe. There are open folders spread everywhere, visible to anyone who walks in. Folders are literally overflowing the cabinets onto the floor in teetering piles. The office staff is overworked, unfriendly and inefficient. They overbilled my insurance company, marking my record as "Extended visit - senior over 75", when I'm 40 and was seen for 15 minutes. If you request that records be mailed to a new doctor, be aware that this physician considers her patient notes "private records" and will only send diagnostic test results.
