On my first visit, I found the staff attentive and considerate. Seeing the doctor was 15 min after my appt. time. My consultation was professional, informative and reassuring. I found Dr. Malone to be knowledable and he took the time to explain the problem and the correcive procedure. I was not rushed and found the experience satisfactory on all levels.

My mother was having knee pain and had xrays that showed spurs. She went to him to review the mri as the first visit he said she she would need surgery. The first visit he didn't even look at her knee or made eye contact. The second visit to review the MRI didn't even look at her knee, no testing, no eye contact and said "your fine" and left. Seriously? What kind of doctor doesn't even look and move the knee around? He shouldn't be getting money from medical. Now she has to go to her GP and get another referral and wait another how many months? HORRID!

Office staff is cold and very unwelcoming. Didn't even say hello or smile when I came to the counter. Appt was first thing in the morning, so I cannot really comment on his punctuality. Malone was very cold, did not introduce himself or even offer to shake my hand. Was waiting for almost 3 months for appointment only to be ushered out the door in less than 10 minutes. Indicated that I did not need surgery but failed to tell me what my injury actually was.

At first meeting, he told me based on my xrays that I needed a total knee replacement. No examination was done. After surgery,I suffered a great deal of pain that went on and on. He told me this was normal and to give it 3 more months. He said the same thing at each visit but never examined my knee or did any xrays. Over a year later I was still in a lot of pain and unable to work. When I complained, he said, "People shouldn't have surgery if they aren't prepared to live with the consequences." He was arrogant & never listened. I saw another doctor who found that the tibial plate extended beyond the bone and was digging into the ligaments causing pain & scar tissue build-up & that my knee cap had been replaced crookedly causing pain and mobility problems. It has been over 2 years, I still can't walk for more than 15 at a time, nor work. I now have to have revision surgery because of his sloppy work and not listening to what I was telling him. Please find another surgeon!

This doctor is a total waste of your time. Taxpayers dollars wasted as he didn't even look at the previous surgeon's reports and contradicted the MRI readings. This man needs to retire before he really hurts someone.

I have had two knee replacements and a hip replacement by Dr. Malone and all were very successful. He is an awesome doctor. He leaves nothing to chance and makes sure you are taken care of to the utmost in the hospital as well as at home. Wouldn't think of going to anyone else.

I am very glad that I ended up with another doctor doing my knee replacement. When I first went to see Dr Malone he wanted to operate right away, but I wasn't ready. Six months later I couldn't handle the pain and was sent for yet more x-rays only to be told that the knee wasn't bad enough. I left in tears. It took an entire additional year before I could even get in to see a competent orthopedic surgeon and six more months to get the surgery done. I was told that the joint was totally gone and had probably been that way for a very long time. I have an idea that I am not the only one to have been treated like this.

My experience was very much like that of the shattered wrist below. I had a VERY badly shattered wrist, looked like dust and luck of the draw got Dr. Malone. I had previously broken my opposite wrist which was repaired by Dr. Cameron but I acquired complex regional pain syndrome. Knowing my history Dr. Malone made no effort to try to prevent a reoccurance in this arm by enuring I had a stellate block prior to surgery. He also installed an external fixator, a device that has been shown to be a factor in the occurance of CRPS. He immediately went on holidays so I was seen by one of his collegues who wasn't happy with my xray. He felt more could be done for me and presented my case before the orthopedic committee who agreed. The following day I had a 4 hr surgery performed by Dr. Smith. I was given a stellate block before surgery and a couple of plates and pins were installed giving me far more movement than would have been possible the way Dr. Malone left me.
