Dr. Singer is an excellent doctor. But his receptionist is the most rudest person I have ever met in my entire lifetime. She never returns phone calls, will give you no help what so ever. I told Dr. Singer at one point how horrible she was and he yelled at me for complaining while she is trying to help me. There have been more than several reviews about his receptionist and he refuses to do anything about it. I have left 3 voice messages, sent a letter by mail, and sent an email and I have still not heard from her. This is a shame that she can get a way with this. And in the previous comments the same thing if I could give this dr and his horrible staff that should be fired I would give an @#$%^&* rating. The doctor for now realizing what patients are saying about his staff and not caring enough to do something about it.

If I could give this doctor negative stars, I would. I would first like to start this story by saying that my father was a prominent cardio-thoracic surgeon in the same community as Dr. Singer... In fact the two knew each other. I have never EVER been treated so poorly by another human being, let alone a physician, in my entire life. And I am a trauma/ICU nurse!

My father passed away from glioblastoma brain cancer in February and I was getting chronic headaches. MRI showed some abnormalities so my primary care physician recommend that I see a neurologist and referred me to Dr. Singer.

I called and called and called... Left message after message.. No return call. So after doing this for 3 weeks, I decided to call my primary physician and see if his staff could get a hold of him. Today I got a call from my primary giving me the cell number of Dr. Singer's secretary. (That alone is ridiculous!) They also told me that they could see me today at 1:45. Since I had plans for the day, I told my primary's staff that I would give Dr. Singer's secretary a call and cancel today's appointment and reschedule for another day. I called and left a message... No call back. I called later in the afternoon and she picked up and then immediately hung up on me. She then quickly sent a text message saying, "Sorry, can't talk right now." I texted her back stating that I was trying to get an appointment with Dr. Singer. No response.

Later in the day I was in the area and decided to drop by the office to schedule something.... BIG MISTAKE!! The secretary said she never got my messages... Voicemail or text. She was rude, nasty, and unprofessional. She then had me sit in an exam room and wait to speak with the doctor. Dr. Singer comes in the room and basically calls me a liar. "Either you are lying or my secretary is lying and she has been working for me for years... So basically I think you are full of bologna." "Did you come in here just to complain?" "I don't have time for this crap." He then told me that he didn't want to see me and would call my primary physician and have him refer me to another neurologist. I left his office as quickly as possible... And in tears!

Luckily my primary physician is amazing... He was a good friend of my father's. He referred me to Dr. Emami who is the head of neurology at Good Samaritan. Got an appointment with her in minutes.

I PLAN ON TELLING ALL OFY FATHER'S COLLEAGUES ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE!

AVOID THIS MAN AND HIS OFFICE LIKE EBOLA!

I saw Dr. Singer three times. He was very patient, listened to what I had to say and made suggestions accrodingly and upon results thereafter

Dr Singer is a very good doctor and is very knowledgable. However, he seriously deserves betetr staff. Each time I called their office I get their answering machine. Never had the chance to talk with a person to take care of my inquireis (appointments, test results, etc). The staff typically call you 2-3 business days after you have left them a message. I am not sure if they do this to pretend they are busy or just becuase they don't care about getting back to you quickly. Anyway, if you need good communications with your doctor's office then you should look elsewhere.

Dr. Paul Singer correctly identified the source of my increasingly severe headaches as Temporal Arteritis and immediately began treatment with Prednisone, saving me from blindness and perhaps death. He referred me to a surgeon to take a sample of the artery for biopsy and now has referred me to a rheumatologist for treatment.

I had high hopes for Dr. Paul Singer. I was referred to him by someone who had absolutely nothing, but great things to say. I went to him for my migraines. At first he was pleasant, thorough, and had a positive attitude. By the 3rd or 4th visit I felt like I was a total inconvenience and it was like he was "giving up" on me. He perscribed several meds that I had tried in the past. They didn't help before and they didn't help now. At the end of my treatment he ended up referring me to a headache clinic in another city knowing that I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids with 3 different schedules to juggle. I still live with migraines daily and still suffer quite a bit. I think he is a nice person, but was not helpful with my illness.

I am a little surprised by the negative comments, though I do see that two are actually written by the same person. My experience with Dr. Singer is the complete opposite. He took the time to go page by page, mark by mark over my EEG, and explained what each notation meant. That''s something that no other neurologist has done, and I''ve been treated by many. He also listened when I said my medication might be making me depressed. Many other doctors had dismissed that. Now, I still may not end up changing meds, but at least he listened.

Dr. Singer was pretty helpful to my wife for migraine problems. They had a mean receptionist in the office, but that was several years ago, hopefully she is gone by now.

DON'T see Dr. Singer unless you have already been diagnosed with something like epilepsy. That is all he knows how to treat. I was having a lot of weakness, which later turned out to be classic signs of MG, but he told me I had a brain tumor and tested for everything but MG. Meanwhile, I could have died from resp failure. He also doesn't know how to do a spinal tap, which resulted in a leaking spine (and MASSIVE continuous migraine) before getting it fixed in the emergency room. I ended up going to another doc and asked him to test me for MG & it came back positive. When I went back to Dr. Singer and told him what I had, he slapped his forehead like an idiot and said "Oh yea, why didn't I think of that!" So for the love of god, if you have an unknown diagnosis please don't see him. See someone who actually remembers what they learned in medical school.
