Dr. Kim not only is an excellent surgeon who quickly scheduled an urgent surgery for me, he also put my mind at ease about the upcoming operation.

The staff didn't seem to care when I called back after an appt. and had gotten worse and was in excruciating pain and said I'd have to wait a week to see him. They told me he refused to give me pain medications for a misdiagnosed anal fissure that felt like I was being burned alive daily. They told me to come in for a pain treatment. Took day off work and went for pain treatment, but while on table waiting, Dr. Kim returned and said he ran out of pain treatment. The most uncaring, horrendous, witch doctor I've ever seen. He even did a procedure to stretch me that made the pain worse and he and his staff refused to help me with the pain. I ended up at Stanford with 2 surgeries to figure out the problem and they told me he was incompetent.

I was told to have a rectum surgery to get rid of a infection on the inside of my rectum so it would not return every 4 or 5 years. I have been in pain almost on a daily basis and its been 3 years. I wish I would have just waited on the infection to re appear and deal with it then.

I was referred to Dr. Kim because the surgeon I was referred to was not available. Arriving on time at his office for my first visit, I waited 55 minutes before he could see me. He explained the procedure and said that within 7 days I'll be able to ride a bicycle. After surgery, he just left without discussing the result with either me or my wife who was there the entire time. I had two post surgery visits with him, and each time waited over 45 minutes. Almost two months later I called his office to make another appointment because both the bleeding and the pain had gotten worse. I was told that the soonest he could see me was over two weeks later. I called again, but it did no good. Desperate, I called another surgeon who saw me right away. I ended up having to go through the pain of having another surgery with the new surgeon to clean things up. I wrote Dr. Kim expressing my disappointment about not being allowed to see him sooner. He never responded.
