Charges more the NS fees allow; and work is shotty at best.

I have full insurance and still had to pay way more; his receptionist told me they charge more; when asked why i didnt get a clear answer. Trust me, he’s not worth it as my tooth still hurts after he said it was fine. Avoid this scammer!

Terrible dentist that swore and spoke on political issues while doing a poorly fitting filling for me; i won’t be back. Maybe ol Mikey should keep his world views out of the professional setting and focus on quality or work and not singing and swearing.

Attention to anyone that is having partial or dental work done. PLEASE SEEK OUT ANOTHER DENTIST! This is the first time I have put a review online, but I feel I have no other choice and it's a long one.
I had 9 teeth removed in August of 2021 and had the partial inserted immediately. I had to go back the next day for a check up and Dr. Michael Salyzyn "yanked" that partial out of my mouth like I had nothing done the day before. You can only imagine the amount of pain I was in considering my mouth was raw from the extractions. Although I did swear and sit up in my chair, he didn't seem to be bothered at all! That was the first incident. I had 3 temporary relines done in the last year and each I insisted that I remove my partial myself because he is so brutal. The only comfort I received from the impressions was when his assistant Krista did the impressions. Each reline I had, I had to clean it properly when I got home and trim some of the excess material from it. So yesterday I had to have impressions to have the permanent reline done and let me say I have never been in so much pain! He put the material in my mouth all the while roughly pulling on my lips and pressing upward on the mould with extreme pressure. When he went to take it out of my mouth, he had to pull and pull and pry it out of there all the while I was saying NO NO and grabbing at his hands to stop!!! Blatantly obvious it was left in to long and stuck in my mouth! At one point during all of this I heard his assistant say to remove it, he's reply was really already.
He is a friendly guy but he should not be performing any dental work on anyone!!!Brutal, rough and unnecessary extreme force. Because of all of this and the sores that are on the roof of my mouth from him removing that impression, I am in extreme pain today and probably for the rest of the week, until it heals.
PLEASE FIND ANOTHER DENTIST, YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!!!!

Rude staff, dismissive. Seem to be profit driven.
This so called doctor had gloved hands that were in my mouth and then touching his pants, discusting. I had a filling done that was sensitive and he dismissed the problem after multiple calls and appointments. I finally went to another dentist at Community Dental and they fixed the issue. Apparently there was filling material that wasn’t fully set! This “doctor” should retire and leave it to properly trained dentists. He should also be reminded it’s 2021 and not still a white boys club, some of his language is offensive.

Dr. Salyzyn has seen me for two dental emergencies and one regular check up/cleaning etc appointment. Excellent!

After doing a root canal, which was infected and resulted in havng several strokes. This dentist, and I use the term very looselly, would not admit his error and it was only after seeing another dentist and having removed did I recover!

A poorly run dental office. The receptionists are not helpful and seem uninterested. I was booked with a different dentist or hygenist at every appointment. Now that I have a new dentist with caring staff I can really see how I was simply a body to fill a dental chair. Not recommended

My family were patients for several years. He was very hyper but seemed nice. Then they wanted us to buy extras like electric toothbrushes and services such as sealants. And then came the orthodontic referral. For the wrong child. The child who was a thumb sucker stopped without needing the appliance - an appliance they harassed me to have by calling constantly. The child with major issues was overlooked and now may need jaw surgery to reallign his jaw if the braces don't work - and I always asked if his over bite was OK and Dr Mike always said yes. Then the sealants were not done properly resulting in bacteria being sealed into the teeth. My child now needs fillings before the braces. And sealants are NOT for adults - I was told this was a great way to protect my teeth (an extra I had to pay for). Well I now have cavities under EVERY sealant. I had perfect teeth. Now I have a mouth full of fillings. His push to sell, sell, sell has ruined my teeth.

Dr. Mike and Dr. Luke are the best!! Especially with children. All the staff are friendly and helpful!!
