I had mixed feelings at worst about Dr. Inan til my last appt with her a year ago. My mixed feelings were over the facts she would leave me waiting an hour or more for her, and would answer phonecalls from home during my appointment. Then, at my last appt, she informed me she was no longer billing my insurance company, and demanded cash on the spot. When I told her I didn't have cash, she got legal on me and acted like she was going to sue. I told her she could bill the credit card she already had on file for me for my co-pays. She ended up billing me an extra $30 processing fee. I emailed her, angry that she would do that, especially since SHE SPENT 80% OF MY SESSION TALKING ABOUT HER OWN PROBLEMS!!!!! She responded defensively, blaming me for the miscommunication and then yelling at me about things I confided in her in my session :( I felt berated and upset... not how you want your therapist talking to you :( :(

Dr. Inan is not competent. She is highly intelligent but she lacks sound judgement. Several appointments were spent listening to her personal problems (lasting up to 30 min.) while maybe 5-10 minutes spent on actual treatment of the patient. So inappropriate. Her boundaries are nil. She is all over the place in her demeanor. I would not recommend her at all.

very knowledgeable, thorough, caring. Doesn't always run on time, but worth the wait because she will take a few extra minutes when a person needs it.

I wanted to let you know about my experiences with this so-called doctor. Like other reviewers stated, I found that she over-prescribed medication until I was nearly catatonic. She left Illinois-- without any warning. I was recently contacted by her via email stating that she wanted to maintain a "relationship" with me from a distance. At the cost of $300 dollars for a "set-up fee" and regular sessions billed at her usual rate. She cited various "money and family issues" as a reason for needing immediate payment. Wait-- how/why is that my problem? I am seriously considering filing a complaint against her.

Inan has fled Illinois without telling any of her patients leaving most of us without notice and hanging in the balance with no way to get in touch with her. I have 3 prescriptions written by her which she called and cancelled without ever speaking with me or letting me know. She is as unethical as it gets. Do not under any circumstance entrust yourself to her care. She does not return emails, texts or phone calls to her patients and is apparently more than happy to leave all of us without the Dr. we trusted to care for us.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, she likes to manage every symptom with medication; I was on at least 5-10 meds at any time, including lithium (I have unipolar depression and GAD), powerful mood stabilizers and, most notably, fistfuls of Xanax and Ritalin. I ended up developing a dependency on the Ritalin, which she supported in prescribing me ever and ever higher amounts. The high amounts on Ritalin I was on caused me to have two grand mal seizures. Tests at the hospital determined that I have no seizure disorder and it was the "cocaine levels of Ritalin" (to quote the ER docs) that had caused the seizures. Where was Dr. Inan during all this? MIA, of course, and later told me to check myself into an inpatient facility or she would no longer see me. I DID check into a hospital, where I got a new meds doc, was immediately taken off all the meds and given two low doses of anti-depressants. She is also too personal with her patients... breast pumping in appointments, etc etc.
