He is a kind , smart and brilliant surgeon. A man of few words, he is a miracle worker and he saved me from being a quadriplegic after a terrible fall from ladder. Fx my Cspine and have Compression fx L3. Had excruciating pain, then surgery and dschgd all in 3 days. Had no pain after surgery and up walking same day. He is very humble and has the compassion of an angel. What a gift to Southfield and Ascension/Providence Hosp. Truly love this man. Thank you Jesus!

Dr. Soo is one of the greatest spine surgeons, which we all know. But what is so special about him is his humanity. He is one of the warmest person you will ever meet. He talks to you, he listens to you and even jokes. You are not just his patient, he makes you feel like a special person, like family. He has served my family for a long time, my sister and I just love him. Keep being you Dr. Soo, and many blessings. Thank you from Joanne Sockwell and Brenda Avery. We give you 5 Stars!!

This doctor gave me peace of mind after talking to him, leaving me feeling hopeful at a time when I felt hopeless. I have chosen him as my surgeon to do my spinal surgery after being evaluated by three other surgeons prior to.

I’m writing this review today… because I’m alive and I can. Back on September 10, I was directed by Dr. Teck Soo to go to the Ascension Providence Southfield Emergency room and he would meet me. I called his office as three days prior I started having severe sharp back pain I thought was muscular that on about the third day I lost 50-70% use of my left hand and forearm, had shooting pain and numbness down both arms, legs and tingling in my feet.

At the hospital I had an MRI and CT scan where it was determined I would need my 3rd cervical spinal surgery and fusion now between C7 and T1 due to a disk and bone spurs that were paralyzing me.

I am thrilled that I am alive, not paralyzed and that my left forearm and hand are progressing so quickly. It is about 2-months post-surgery.

I want to thank everyone involved in my successful surgery and recovery at Ascension St. Johns Providence Hospital Southfield. Everyone, and I mean everyone who took care of me was great. I did not meet one grumpy or disengaged staff member. If not for the surgery, it was a very pleasant stay. I never had to call for anything as they were always there. Thank you to all of you so much and for taking such good care of me.

Thank you so very much Dr. Soo for taking such good care of me, saving my life and keeping me up on my feet and mobile.

Dr Soo performed Spinal Fusion on me in Sept 2021. I was in so much pain. I would come home from work and want to go to bed. I could barely walk a few aisles at the grocery store before I had to stop. Dr Soo would tell me I’ll know when it’s time for surgery. He never pressured me. After two hospital visits and my right leg getting weaker, I told him it’s time. After my surgery, and recovery, I felt so much better!! I am so thankful I decided to have surgery. I would not want anyone else to perform surgery on my back. He is also very kind and funny.
Thank you DR Soo!!

Dr. Soo performed an 8 and a half hour surgery on 7 discs. I have spinal degeneration and he repaired 7 discs with cadaber bone and a spine stimulator. I had 16 weeks of recovery and went back to my job as a restaurant manager.
I found him to be humble and thoughtful. I told my husband and sister before surgery if I dont come out I had a great life. Dr. Soo whispered on the way to surgery "I have not killed or crippled a patient yet and you will not be my first. He squeezed my hand and I said this doctor I trust.
I will not hesistate to have him operate on me again in the future. He also said GOD gave him a gift and any doctor who doesnt think hes GOD is the doctor for me.
