There is a  very serious problem with his over medication at Eaglepark extended care.Hallucinations, required hospitalizations, inability to participate in activities due to over medication, patients screaming and dying.  These residents built this country and are being treated very badly.

I have had Dr. Hugh Fletcher for many years and have found him to be knowledgeable and kind. He thinks outside of the box and goes out of his way to find health solutions. I’m grateful to have such a sound health professional!

Abysmal example of long term care physician. Doesn't see the patients yet bills extravagantly. Will not answer to family questions or concerns and over-medicates the elderly to keep them sedated. Should lose his license

I am very impressed with this doctor’s knowledge and ability. My son has an unusual skin disease, and Dr. Fletcher has taken on giving his injections so we don’t have to drive all the way to Victoria to see the specialist. Very helpful and thorough for all my common medical problems as well.

Been awhile, but found him to be smart, professional, quick on diagnosis, fast follow up, direct in the best way.

Grossly over-medicated my elderly mom with anti-psychotic drug Quetiapine (Seroquel), even though no psychosis diagnosis. Dr Fletcher prescribed this when my mom moved into long term "care" at Nanaimo Seniors Village in January 2018. Easier for "care" staff to "manage" drugged/sedated residents.

Didn't know he retired as I moved. Well that's good to hear. Long overdue. Had no interest in any patients.
I have to say I did really miss the wonderful staff!! They were the most helpful!🙂
One more thing hated the 2 hr waits or more!!

My family found Dr Fletcher to be arrogant when dealing with our concerns. My Mother's death did not have to be as painful as it was, if he had paid more attention. He recruited staff from the Care Home that was already grossly understaffed. Fletcher walked the halls as if he were the great Healer. Qualicum lost nothing of value when he left

Dr. Fletcher is always on call for his residential care patients and is in frequent contact with the nurses in the facility re: residents needs. Just because he doesn't see residents every time he visits a facility does not mean he is not addressing their needs or is out of touch with the residents. I have always found him readily available for his patients. I have worked in health care for 17 years and have known him for 11. He is an excellent doctor. He is approachable and very friendly.
