This doctor over prescribed medication for over decade and neglected my complaints about vision loss. I now suffer from drug induced macular degeneration pre 50 yrs old

I used this site because I couldn't remember this wonderful woman's name. I am shocked to read the negative reviews. My son, who had a complex issue, was treated by Dr. W, a couple of years ago. Her approach to the the treatment plan, our concerns and the imparting of information was excellent. Everyone is allowed to have bad days, I guess the bad reviews are from those occasions. I would highly recommend Dr Wiechert.

She basically said I was wasting her time and to only come back if my condition worsened. Its left me feeling very down and self concious about what I'm going through and like I'm not worth treatment. She only books you for 15 minute consultations which barely allows any time to actually speak about your issues. Her staff at the front desk were nice, but the waiting room was very full (this was during pandemic times) and I felt uncomfortable staying there so went back to sit in my car to wait.

Dr. Weichert is one of the few dermatologists on Vancouver Island that offers sclerotherapy; I wished I’d found her sooner. Through their Nanaimo clinic (Synergy Medical) Dr. Barnsley and Dr. Weichert can fix almost any cosmetic defect. Dr. Gabrielle is very professional, sympathetic and thoughtful. She is careful and precise, her work bears excellent results and I’m much improved. I’m glad I can depend on Dr. Weichert to help me age more gracefully. The clinic staff are also very polite and friendly, well organized and professional. VL

Absolutely useless she was 30 min late didn’t care what I had to say talked down to me she never looked at the pictures I was asked to send could of cared less about my concerns for my health .

Dr Weichert is wonderful. Again, like many other posts, Dorothy (medical secretary) is horrible. Dorothy has challenges with basic skills such as scheduling. Than she blames the patient. Dorothy also makes critical medical decisions that I believe Dr Weichert was not consulted on. This is a grave concern

I have sought treatment from Dr Weichart for approximately 5 years now. She is professional, gentle, thoughtful, accommodating, unpretentious and effective. My condition requires frequent surgical incisions and Dr Weichart quite often rescues me from 5+ hour waits in emergency.
Dorothy (Medical Secretary) has been instrumental in helping me avoid much suffering by communicating with me in an extraordinarily efficient and empathetic manner. I hope she realises how much her organizational skills and concerns are valued in such a high volume clinic!
Thank you to the lovely support staff at Skincarewest...you are all wonderful !

I have had several appointments with Dr. Weichert and soon will be making another appointment. She makes you feel comfortable and openly discusses any questions or concerns. I highly recommend. If there would be one request - it would be to install a bar that u could hold onto for support when your getting the liquid nitrogen treatment!
