While I like Dr. Frayne, the staff at the Fort Family clinic are terrible. They try to prevent patients from seeing the any doctors at all. The staff ask questions that in my view violate doctor-patient privilege. I can appreciate that their role is one of a gatekeeper but they do not need to assume all patients are abusing their office, or exaggerating their problems. I see Dr. Frayne perhaps once every 18 months, only when I feel I really need to, but I get the sense that the staff feel it is beneath them to set appointments or talk to patients. Trying to make an appointment is difficult at the best of times. If one needs timely medical help do not rely on the staff. There goal seems to be to prevent patients from setting appointments. They shut down their switchboard over lunch, they do not want to speak to you unless you can prove you are a prior patient. The clinic must not be in need of new patients because they clearly do not want any new patients and make it difficult for the existing patients. The only positive thing about this clinic is Dr. Frayne himself, if you can get past his minions. If you remember that the staff will treat you like cattle, then your time there may be tolerable.
