While I like Dr. Frayne, the staff at the Fort Family clinic are terrible. They try to prevent patients from seeing the any doctors at all. The staff ask questions that in my view violate doctor-patient privilege. I can appreciate that their role is one of a gatekeeper but they do not need to assume all patients are abusing their office, or exaggerating their problems. I see Dr. Frayne perhaps once every 18 months, only when I feel I really need to, but I get the sense that the staff feel it is beneath them to set appointments or talk to patients. Trying to make an appointment is difficult at the best of times. If one needs timely medical help do not rely on the staff. There goal seems to be to prevent patients from setting appointments. They shut down their switchboard over lunch, they do not want to speak to you unless you can prove you are a prior patient. The clinic must not be in need of new patients because they clearly do not want any new patients and make it difficult for the existing patients. The only positive thing about this clinic is Dr. Frayne himself, if you can get past his minions. If you remember that the staff will treat you like cattle, then your time there may be tolerable.

Agree with all negative comments here especiaally with regard to staff. referred this patient for operation, which caused permanent nerve damage, which required visits to pain clinics, pain meds... in excruciating pain out of meds (don't like using them) visited office, told to wait 3 days for appt. 3 days later, crippled with pain, disabled, could not stand, missed that appt. next week rec'd letter of dismissal. Got FIRED by Dr. Frayne (seen since he came to clinic) , ie left out in the cold with no doctor. No doctor in Langley was taking new patients. Moved out of Langley and have excellent care now. Shame on Dr. Frayne.

Dr. Frayne has been my Dr since he started practice in Fort Langley. He is an excellent Dr. His staff is RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. His office manager even accused me of having my son go to a different Dr because he has not been there in 7 yrs - if he is healthy why see the dr... this lack of professionalism is not acceptable and reflect poorly on the Dr.

Dr. Frayne is a fantastic Doctor! He goes about his work very efficiently and is obviously extremely busy, but he is still highly compassionate and willing to listen to you. He has a great, British, sense of humour, and definitely knows his field well. Just be straight with him and he will go out of his way to help you. If you don't like him then it's probably because you are looking for a counsellor rather than a Doctor. I recommend him whole-heartedly!

Dr Frayne is clearly a busy guy. He trains medical students, has the new building plan, and his many committees. I respect that he is busy and keep my visits quick and to the point. I also follow up with my issues and I've never had any problems with him. I can see he's not for everyone though. You have to be alright with his brisk and business like attitude. Staff are a bit off standish.

Dr. Frayne has been my doctor throughout all three of my pregnancies and I find him to be very caring! He always been there for me and my family. He is matter of fact and his accent could be taken as stand offish, but I know he has a great heart! He’s cautious, and I think is careful not to prescribe unnecessary drugs, which I value greatly. I’m often worried about the side effects and I like a doctor who doesn’t hand out meds for every cut and sniffle.

My mother, two brother and I used to go to Dr. Frayne many years ago. One of the main reasons we left, was that he had a terrible bedside manner, and made one feel as if your sickness was all in your head, and that he shouldn't be bothered unless it was something serious. We all felt very uncared for, and he dismissed us, and many other patients quickly. Since then, we have all found other doctors, and all have been absolutely amazing. I will not ever recommend Dr. Frayne to anyone I know.

Allister has been my family doctor for my kids and I for several years and I'm about to make a change. The lady that takes appointments is RUDE and MEAN. I call her the gate keeper. What doctor has a gate keeper?? I expressed my concern to Frayne and he said they like that she keeps things orderly. Dr. Frayne is a NICE GUY. We all LIKE him which is why we have been going back, but he rarely takes things seriously. His most common recommendation is "give it time." My son has had to quit his job because of a knee injury that we followed this advice on. I have had to bring an arsenal of research in order to get anything accomplished. Time for a change and looking for a recommendation!
