Dr Boyd has been my GP since1993. I find she is always helpful, considerate and kind. She listens well and refers as necessary. She has always provided appointments in a very timely manner. Her office staff are excellent . During covid I have spoken to her on the phone twice and seen her in person twice. Concerns I had were not delayed due to covid.

I saw this woman for 20 years and I'm so glad I moved on. To begin, she means well but she goes about it the wrong way. I got a UTI? Well she decided I was having too much sex and all of the sudden I need antibiotics for my sex addiction, but cant prescribe me more than 10 at a time because I'll misuse them. I stopped eating? She wouldn't help me get into the disordered eating clinic. She was too cautious and didn't want me on any meds (which I needed - believe me) whilst I "wasn't" smoking. Flu shots every year. Then finally she got a new receptionist and if this isn't the nosiest woman ever... You might as well be having the appointment with the receptionist they "require" you to tell them so many details about why you need an appointment. Even my father complained. To conclude she's stuck in her ways and I always ended up doing my own thing in the end anyways.

She has been my family doctor for well over 15 years and I have never felt more judged or uncomfortable then I do being honest with her about any and all health related questions. If you consume alcohol or smoke whatsoever be prepared to be treated as a addict . Refused me birth control in my teen years because I was quote “too young to be having sex”

She has been my family doctor for well over 10 years and I actively avoid seeing her. I could probably count on one hand all the times I've gone in. I always feel judged and like she doesn't really care what I have to say or have time to answer questions. I'm not someone that complains, ever. Especially to a doctor. I went to her because I had been sick from November till March (this was a few years ago now) and she didn't even look at me or ask about my symptoms. She just automatically assumed it was allergies (since when do allergies include infected green snot?) and prescribed allergy medication. Also - allergies from what? I do in fact have allergies but to this day I do not get allergies in the dead of winter. I get them in the spring, which is pretty normal. The kicker was that I was on naturopathic allergy medication just in case it was allergies and she ROLLED her eyes at me. I was so taken aback I didn't say anything. I've avoided getting routine checkups that I should be getting and putting my own health at risk JUST because it's exhausting to even think about going to see her. Somehow, my "allergies" cleared up on their own after some rest when I had some time off work. She rarely refers to previous visits or follows up about previous complaints. I'm not sure she even remembers at this point. She refused to acknowledge my sister was in an enormous amount of pain (cysts on her ovaries) for YEARS until she finally referred her to a specialist. If you want a doctor that listens, she is not who you're looking for.

She’s awful. I have been seeing her for years complaining of heavy bleeding and period cramps, begging to see a specialist. It wasn’t until I told her I couldn’t have sex with my partner anymore that she finally caved and sent me to a specialist. Saw her 8 months later for a pap and she forgot she even sent me to a specialist and told me it was all in my head. Odd because my specialist diagnosed me with endometriosis. She does not advocate for her patients proper care, has a terrible bed side manner, and is very old fashioned. She pushed drugs on me for years that did more harm than help. Avoid at all costs.

Dr. Boyd is literally the only person that could help my family. She tells it how it is, and a lot of times people need to hear that. If she wasn't the doctor right now my family wouldn't be here, but I'm thinking she really doesn't have time for people that mess around. If you want an honest opinion doctor boyd is your lady.

I threw out my back a short while ago. This has happened on and off over the past 25 years due to an injury sustained in 1993. Anyway, I attempted to book an appointment but was told my file was gone since I hadn’t been there for a few years. After some pleading, I was reinstated as a patient. I made an appointment, arrived, and proceeded to linger in the waiting room for an hour and a half. Weird since there was only two other people in the waiting room during that time. One I got in, I began to describe my back pain. Before I got through my first sentence, she made it clear that she doesn’t write notes for back injuries. I wasn’t even looking for one. I already booked the rest of the week off with my vacation time. She didn’t even look at my back. All she did was prescribe pain pills. While I was there, I asked for a referral for a colonoscopy which I have every two years due to my age and a history of colon cancer in my family (father, uncle). She said I would have to book a separate visit for that. She said I could pretend I had to get my blood pressure checked and she would give me the referral then. Why the deception? A ten second referral. Anyway I got a new family doctor now. So much better. I could go on with other visits that were terrible but this would go on forever. I would just conclude that the best words to describe her are unprofessional, judgemental, and belittling. DEFINITELY not a people person....
