I went to see Dr. Washburn for polycystic ovarian syndrome at age 52. I have a very complex medical history & other underlying health conditions and she didn't want to take time to see how my PCOS might fit in with my other problems. She never really took time to listen to me and brushed off my concerns and questions. She changed by method of birth control which caused me to have random bleeding and wouldn't do anything about it. When I had a month if heavy bleeding and a possible ruptured ovarian cyst, her office couldn't get me in to see her until almost two weeks later. When I finally saw her, she said she wishes that I had told the office the severity of my situation and she would have had me come in and fitted me in her schedule. I replied that I called back twice and asked to see if that could be done and was told it could not. She also performed a very painful procedure that actually caused me to scream and pain and she did not seem concerned about it. Instead she scolded me for tensing up and when I told her I thought it was going to throw up from the pain, she told me not to.when the procedure was over I was left shaking mess on the exam table clutching my guts. I asked her a couple of questions and she just seemed annoyed about them and then I had to remind her that I needed to have blood work done to check my hormone levels. she had completely forgotten to have it done and it wouldn't have gotten done if I hadn't mentioned it. She also failed to ever take into consideration or treat any possible insulin resistance I may have from my polycystic ovarian syndrome. I warn everyone to stay away from her.

I came to her with what I believe is PCOS symptoms. She did not listen to a word I said. Didn't ask for a full history on ANYTHING ( I filled out the history paperwork but I'm guessing she didn't read any of it or ask me about any of it), didn't let me finish talking about my symptoms or concerns before jumping to conclusions about what is wrong with me based on a basic pelvic exam, and was very unwilling to run any sort of tests or scans. I felt she was just trying to get me out of the office. Extremely condescending, judgmental and lacking in knowledge. I have never had a more confrontational doctors appointment. I had to DEMAND to get testing done. I will not be going back to her to be tested and will find someone else. I can not believe someone like her is employed.

I went to this dr. for a yearly exam. She was extremely rushed throughout my exam and referred me to another dr. to talk about anything that didn't relate to my pap smear. I was very disappointed and will not be going to this doctor or clinic again.

My daughter complained of extreme vomiting, swollen feet (very very swollen), very bad heartburn, pain at top of uterus (liver pain), and this doctor told her she had the usual "end of pregnancy complaints". Well, she died after emergency c-section. She had H.E.L.L.P.S. She is now dead and has a son and a husband who need her. Also, part of her sons bladder was outside his body at birth. This was not found in the ultrasounds before she delivered him, either. She was a wonderful person, daughter, friend wife, sister and Aunt to her 3 nieces. She was only 30. Tell every woman/girl who is of age to be pregnant or is pregnant to be tested for H.E.L.L.P.S. All of my daughters complaints were typical of this disease. It involves the liver and platelets. She was rushed to Mayo Clinic, had liver transplant but it was too late. Be aware of this disease. Be aggressive and change doctors if you don't get answers or help.

I also went to this dr with PCOS symptoms. She totally blew me off and said it didn't matter if I wasn't trying to get pregnant and wouldn't do any blood work or tests. I found another dr and am now being treated. I also ended up with her as my ob for my last pregnancy. She was acceptable but I am very knowledgeable about pregnancy and birth so she wasn't able to make me do anything I didn't want to do. Had a tendency to be condescending at times. Rushed and sometimes brusque and unfriendly, other times nicer.

I have PCOS and recently visited Dr. Waschbusch regarding my symptoms.Although she is probobly a good gyn, she does not seem to be knowledgable about PCOS or hormonal problems. She seemed too hurried to listen to my concerns and refused to do any blood work. She didn't seem to be interested in treating me unless I was trying to get pregnant.
