His office staff is the worst. Lady at front desk works very hard at being as rude as Dr Magee is. If Magee was a vet, I won't take my dog to him.

Dr Magee is very knowledgeable and has taken great care of me. He goes over your history and explains what is best for you. He may seem a little cold but I feel he is just thinking and calculating numbers.

Great doctor. Very accurate in his speeking and is up on the latest medicines for diabetes.

Dr Magee has been seeing my Dad for several years now. My Dad is a rather difficult patient because he doesn't want to do what he's told. My experience of Dr Magee is that he is very careful and pays close attention to what is going on. We have to do homework before we see him because he cares enough to want that extra information. If he seems a little distant it is because his is so focused and wants to get as much covered as possible on our visits. Actually I have to say he has been a huge help in managing dad's diabetes and is very flexible adjusting dad's meds to fit his lifestyle. So if you really want to work with him in treating your disease this is a good doctor to go to.Arriba Stature

Generally feel very unwelcome at his office. Hard to make personal contact with. Refuses to refill prescriptions thru pharmacy calls, faxes over a form dictating that it is patient responsibility to make sure prescriptions are written to cover 6 months, 12 months, etc. Will not continue to use him, seeking another professional.

Doctor is extremely unhelpful. On my second appointment I was late 10 minutes and he refused to accept me so I had to reschedule. On my next appointment he was late 47 minutes, and when I complained about this his staff said I could always leave and showed me the door. Doctor did appologize for being late but made clear he won't correct it. When I asked how I can make sure that on my next appointment I won't have to wait again he said it was always my choice to leave if I want to. After that whenever I need my blood checked I go to a different doctor but make sure they fax him my lab results. Still I received an official letter informing me that he is not longer involved in my care because I didn't follow up, even though I when his staff called me to schedule follow up I said that I recently had checked my blood and he should have the results. I also specified who faxed the results (my family doctor). I cannot comment on his knowledge that's why I give him the middle rank.
