I have been going to Southlake Dermatology for about 7 years now and I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone I've met there. Dr. Bowers is great and really knows what she's talking about and she doesn't waste your time sitting there and making small talk. But it is smart to know what you want checked out because she's not going to ask you every single question about your skin. So if you are looking for someone who knows her stuff and won't waste your time, Dr. Bowers is it!

She is very rude. Like some of the other comments stated, this dr. is not in the business of medical care for her patient. Rather she is trying to do cosmetic and selling products to her patient in the name of medical doctor. I showed her my scar from a ski and she was not slightly interested. She told me on the face that she can not help me in a way like why are you coming to me? Do not come to this doctor if you don't need cosmetic surgery or products.

Fantastic experience. Have been going to this office for a year now. It is clean, the staff friendly. I expressed my dermatologic concerns and very much felt like I was listened to. I had a small growth on my nose removed. When it re-appeared which she had told me could possibly occur, she took it off again and it's been gone ever since. If you have ever heard Dr.Bowers speak, her voice is soft and kind and I could never even imagine her being rude or making one feel rushed. I honestly can't say anything but good about this office. Great experience.

Would not recommend this office. The doctors are impatient CBS rude. The focus is on selling products snd non-medically necessary services....

Dr. Bowers-Plott is very knowledgeable about medicine. However, she doesn't care much about staff issues - rudeness, whether or not you were left on hold for 20 minutes every time you call for appt, follow-up, etc. If you leave a message, you won't get a return call until the next day if you are lucky, when I complained, they put me on permanent hold. I'm changing my doctor. During their new computer software update (lasted 3 months) there were lots of issues, yet not even an apology for not being able to take new appointments - asked me to call back. Today I tried to ask about making a payment and my call was not returned. Guess they don't need my money or my business.

Dr.Bowers has a poor bedside manner and speaks down to her patients. She must realize that there are many professional people in the Southlake area whose time is as important to them as her time is to her. In addition, her office staff insisted that patients go to computers in corners of the waiting room and update their records before they could be seen by the doctor. Way to go doc. Not only do the patients pay your salary, but now they do your clerical work as well. I understand you got a new program, but why did you not see that the new system ported over your info. Then why should you, your patients did. Yes, you have a booming practice, but you need to appreciate the people that helped to get your there. Plese do not turn your practice into a puppy mill. Patients concerned with their health deserve so much more. Five extra minutes in your profession could save a life.

She is an amazing doctor. Dr.Bowers-Plott is professional as well as very knowledgeable and caring - genuinely concerned and takes her time with each patient. I would and do highly recommend her to anyone/everyone!

Dr. Bowers is not anyone I would ever recommend or see again. She was in and out of the room in a flash (maybe a minute or two), and even managed to make me feel stupid for going in to see her at all, although skin cancer runs on both sides of my family. If you have cosmetic concerns, she is probably okay, but if you have true skin issues, I would go elsewhere. The whole office seems focused on selling cosmetics. I felt like I was in a salon rather than a doctor's office.

Dr. Bowers is insulting and rude. Doesn't care to listen. Just make as much money as fast as possible. Office personel was more concerned with getting me out the door so they could celebrate a co-workers birthday cake festivities. NEVER will go back to that office. Extremely negative experience!

I am VERY impressed with Dr. Bowers-Plott's office. Southlake Derm has a super staff and the doctor's and PA's there are very helpful and friendly. Never did I feel rushed and I've seen just about everyone there! They offer helpful information when I request it and never try to "sell me something". As a matter of fact, I think they are very conservative when it comes to cosmetic procedures. I've had plenty of treatments which cover every aspect of the office (Psoriasis, acne, Dysport)so I know what I'm talking about. If you've not been in the office recently, I'd definetly give it another shot!
