horrible man is very shaming-was not impressed at all

Dr. Trangle put a human face on what could have been a dehumanizing experience. Both he and his nurse were available and responsive when I needed them. What I wish he had said, which he never did, was that I WOULD GET BETTER. My therapist at Health Partners did say this, and this one sentence pulled me through during the darkest period of my depression. It is critical to have someone who believes in your ability to heal. Dr. Trangle was supportive, kind, patient. But he never did give me the confidence I needed to pull myself out of the hole I was in. Almost no one stays depressed, although 50% of people who get depressed relapse. Why not let patients know they WILL get better?
